9 Isostatic Graphite F ine grain cool press graphite material is a new type material which was presented in the latest fifty years. It has better properties compared to ordinary materials. It has many properties, such as good electric conductivity; heat conductivity; high strength under high temperature; self lubrication; high temperature resistance and high bulk density and easily processing etc. It is more and more used in different fields of national economy, such as mono-crystal silicon; electric spark machining; metal continuous casting; high temperature corrosion resistance container; special purpose and so on. Isotropic graphite (Fine grain big size, isotropic graphite) is produced by isostatic compaction technology, it has not only all properties of high purity graphite, but also has good isotropism, which will not be affected by its dimension, shape and sampling orientation; its structure is homogeneous, fine and close with high mechanical strength, strong oxidation resistance capacity and Good machining property, and so on. Its consumption is only 1/3~1/5 of copper material when it is used as EDM electrodes.it can be said that it is the best material among graphite materials. Furnace Linings The Blast Furnace/Blast Oxygen Furnace route was developed for the production of high quality primary steel. It is the most successful route to produce primary steel. As the availability of scrap metal and electricity increases, the number of EAF (Electric Arc Furnaces) will increase to recycle the scrap. The EAF steel will not be sufficient to cover the steel demand in the world, and both production routes have a bright future. In the beginning of the 60ies, the refractory lining of the lower part up to the middle stack of blast furnaces was turned successfully to carbon and graphite materials. We actively pushed this development. The improvement of material and design solutions have significantly increased the productivity and campaign life of Blast Furnaces since then. We have been an expert partner to the steel industry since the beginning. Super Micro-pore Carbon Block Super micro-pore Carbon Block is made of calcined anthracite under high temperature and other additives by extruding, baking and processing. Typical properties are with high thermal condiuctivity, high micr-pore porosity and good permeability which may reduce erosion to the body of blast furnace, and avoid the iron liquid erosion and permeability. Super Micro-pore Carbon Block can meet the requests for the large scale blast furnaces Micro-pore Carbon Block Micro-pore Carbon Block is made from calcined anthracite under high temperature with other additives by extruding, baking and processing. Typical properties are better micro porosity, permeability, and anti-erosion from iron liquid.

12 Micro-pore Carbon Block is used in lay hearth of blast furnace. Partial Graphite Carbon Block Partial Graphite Carbon Block is made of calcined anthracite under high temperature and graphite. Medium pitch acts as binder. Main processes are extruding, baking and processing. Typical properties are with good thermal conductivity and anti-alkaline. Partial Graphite Carbon Block is used in bottom of blast furnace. Ultra-thermal conductivity Graphite Block Ultra-thermal Conductivity Graphite Block is made of low ash pet-coke and pitch acts as binder by extruding, baking, impregnation, graphitization and processing. The product is with higher thermal conductivity which is helpful in reducing the temperature, cooling and slowering the erosion to the furnace bottom. Ultra-thermal conductivity Graphite Block is used in the hearth and bottom of blast furnace. High thermal Conductivity Carbon Block High thermal Conductivity Carbon Block is made of high thermal conductivity materials and partial graphite materials. Pitch acts as binder. Main processes are extruing, baking, and processing. The product is with higher thermal conductivity. High thermal Conductivity Carbon Block is used for the bottom of blast furnace.
