4 1. Nano-coating products is active in many areas in Nano-Technology. One of our major segments is the stateof-art Nano-Coating advanced technology. N-Wissen is specialized in development and customizing solution to our clients in Nano-coatings. Nano-coatings are professional and high-efficiency chemicals which are used in environment, medical & healthcare, food manufacturing, packaging, marine, water treatment, electronics, skyscrapers, building & construction, automotive, energy and other applications. N-Wissen Nano-coatings can be used with substrates like ceramics, glass, stone, plastic, metal, paint, textile, vegetations, etc. One economical example which demonstrates the advantages of applying N-Wissen coating agent (EXT-Coat series) is simply the cleaning process of glasses or stones of large buildings. Using the EXT- Coat agents will on the long term not only save the resources for a traditional cleaning material but also will save the cleaning costs. Thanks to the self-cleaning property of the EXT-Coat series, the typical dirt, dusts and other materials due to weather and environment will be repelled. This will prevents fast aging of the exterior surfaces of the objects and will enhance the look of the materials. The energy consumption due to improving light conditions for glass windows which are covered with rainy water will be much higher than those building which uses glass windows treated with Nanocoating. The same is true in case of cooling down the temperature in the hot summer days. Features and functions of N-Wissen Nano-coatings Titanium Dioxide (TiO 2 ) which is the basic component of the Nano-coatings is an excellent photocatalyst which enables using it in many areas in the everyday life. Beside its chemical stability when used with other additives and compounds and the fact that Nano-coatings are non-toxic materials make our products very attractive for wide range of applications and can easily be applied by enduser or in the industry. 9 4.1 EXT-Coatings (self-cleaning surfaces) This N-Wissen coating series is specialized to be applied on exterior surfaces of buildings for example. The EXT-Coat I through IV show excellent photo-catalytic effect. This effect enables them to be used on surfaces like stones, marbles, glass and metals easily in order to excellently achieve long term selfcleaning, reducing pollution and self-sterilization. The EXT-Coat agents can be used by spraying (optimally) or by using a brush for rough surfaces. The following example briefly illustrates the self-cleaning power of the EXT-Coat agents. Random segment on a wall has been selected to be treated with EXT-Coat agent. Both segments A and B are originally one segment which has been cleaned using a traditional solvent. Segment A was then treated with EXT-Coat agent while segment B left untreated. After three months time, segment A still shows excellent appearance while segment B tends to approach the appearance of segment C which is the part of the untreated area of the wall. (three months after spraying with EXT-Coat) Part B Part B has been cleaned with chemical solvent but not treated with EXT-Coat. It shows the effects of dirt and city pollution as it gets darker and darker. 14 4.2 PLS-Coat (Plastic - Polymer - Glass coating agents) The PLS-Coating agents are especially designed for plastic and polymer processing applications. The PLS-Coat-g agent has an enhanced feature to be used with glass substrates as well as with metals. Ideally, the best method to apply these coatings is the spraying method. The following example illustrates the effect of self-cleaning of PLS-Coat agent with a glass curtain facade using spraying method. 13 The left side of the picture above shows the effect of treating glass substrates with the PLS-Coat agent. The glass remains transparent and clean despite the atmospheric conditions. The right side shows the untreated region of the glass substrate. Anti-Rust example: The following example demonstrates the effect of treating a stainless steel (304) with PLS-Coat-g The picture to the left shows no rusting effects on the stainless steel after 1 month of immersing the steel in the salt water. The stainless steel was treated with PLS-Coat-g. The stainless steel to the right shows clearly the effect of rusting after immersion of stainless steel for one month into a salt-water. 18 4.3 GLS-Coat (Glass coating agents) The GLS-Coating agents are mainly used with glass substrate at room temperature but also at high temperature such as the GLS-Coat II coating agent. Ideally, the best method to apply these coatings is the spraying method but other methods for the high temperature glass coating agent can be used such as dipping and spinning coating methods. 21 4.4 PUR-Coat (Air cleaner coating) The PUR-Coat family of products is mainly used for air purification applications. Such application can be used at home or at larger industrial applications. The PUR-Coat agents are perfectly used for UV/PCO (photo-catalytic oxidation) filter functions. The photo-catalyst filters offer several advantages among classical air filters. The following points list the main advantages of the PUR-Coat agents: Purifying most of air pollution Converting harmful gases to 100% H 2 0 & CO 2 Decomposing of organic pollutant Excellent for sterilization applications anti-bacteria, germs, virus, toxicants, smokes, etc Friendly to the environment. They do not cause additional pollution Long term performance Several methods can be deployed to apply the PUR-Coat agents on substrates like paint, stone, tiles, etc. Spraying method, brush for rough surfaces, dipping for irregular structures and mixing with binders are some of the treatment methods. 26 4.5 PDM-Coat (Platinum doping modified agent) The PDM-Coat family is high efficient and very stable under hard conditions. The platinum doping modified Nano titanium dioxide made it suitable for applications of PCO (Photo-catalytic oxidation) which in this case can be used in filters, water treatments, industrial air purifications and other commercial products. Using air pressure spraying methods, dipping for irregular items, brush for rough surfaces or mixing with binder are the typical methods which can be applied for treating substrates with the PDM-Coat agents. 29 4.6 PCA-Coat (UV-block coatings) The PCA-Coat family of products is a perfect choice for applications of blocking UV light or protecting organic substrate from photo-catalyst oxidation effects. The PCA-Coat offers additional power to reduce coating dosages on porous surfaces (PCA-Coat II) as well as the non-porous and smooth surfaces (PCA-Coat III). The PCA-Coat agents can be applied on substrates like paint, stone, tile, etc using the spraying method or alternatively dipping for irregular structures. 33 4.7 ANT-Coat (anti-bacterial & anti-virus sterilization agent) The ANT-Coat series is used against anti-bacteria and anti-virus in the fields of treatment and coatings in public areas and at private homes. The ability to use the ANT-Coat to sterilize and kill almost all kinds of bacteria made the ANT-Coat as one of the most effective sterilization methods. The fact that the ANT-Coat agents require low-light conditions for perfect anti-bacterial performance in addition to the harmless effects to the human beings makes this family the best choice for the sterilization purposes. Additionally they are used in air-filtering application especially against bacteria and viruses. The main compositions of the ANT-Coat agents are Nano Titanium dioxide and Nano Silver clusters. One typical application of the ANT-Coat is the home sanitization such as applications for clothes or the house.
