This historic downtown area in Plano has been undergoing an amazing transformation in the past year from a quaint Texas tourist spot to a thriving arts district bustling with spontaneous creativity and unforgettable entertainment. As part of our vision for the revitalization of downtown, we are producing new events that support the arts and fosters community. Our latest development to that end is Steinfest, an Oktoberfest style event that celebrates outstanding beer, great food and the right kind of polka music to get you and your friends dancing in the street. The 4th annual Steinfest will be Friday, October 19 through Saturday, October 20 and will include the finest beer, German inspired cuisine, live music, an artist village of craftsman and makers, a wiener dog fashion show, keg bowling, a kid s zone and so much more. 3 ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION The Historic Downtown Plano Association is a non-profit organization comprised of business merchants, residents, government stakeholders and leaders from surrounding arts organizations who are focused on building a community of culture and inclusiveness. In 2015, the City of Plano and the Association strategically began to transition the historic neighborhood into a thriving arts district to better maximize the downtown s cultural assets. These assets include over twenty restaurants, six art galleries, an urban amphitheater, a historic theater, and a growing artist community. The downtown neighborhood was officially designated a cultural district in 2016 by the Texas Commission for the Arts. Today, the Association continues to produce community events to promote art, tourism, and commerce in the District.

5 STEINFEST EVENT PROFILE EVENT DATES & TIMES Friday, October 19 from 5:00pm-10:00pm Saturday, October 20 from 10:00am-10:00pm EVENT LOCATION Haggard Park in the Downtown Plano Arts District located at 901 E. 15th Street AUDIENCE DEMOGRAPHICS This family friendly event brings a wide demographic ranging from young children to adults in their 60 s. An equally strong demographic bracket is young adults between the ages of 22 and 30. All economic and ethnic backgrounds are represented at Steinfest. REACH POTENTIAL Last year s attendance was 5,000 attendees for a one-day festival. With a two day festival this year, attendance is expected to be near 7,000-8,000.
