To create data bases on o Socio-economic information of all citizens of the State o Details of all agricultural landholdings in the State To use the MPHS systems o To create unique ID for each citizen (SSID) o To integrate various applications using citizen and land data. To enable issuing of various certificates relating to land & socio-economic status to the citizen across the counter. Technology used: Client Server Technoology using Oracle at backend and developed VB 2002 as front end tools. 7 Project Name : FAST Expanded Name : Fully Automated Services of Transport Department Department/Agency : Transport Department Year of Launch : Pilot Project - May 2000 Replication - January 2002 Number of sites : Pilot Projects - 3 Replications - 34 Project Cost : Project is implemented under BOMT (Build, Own, Maintain & Transfer) model Pilot Project: 1. One time cost of Rs.30,85,000 towards acquisition of application software 2. Quarterly Hire Purchase amount Rs.17,93,782 for cost of equipment, and maintenance for three years excluding consumables. 3. Rs.5,00,000 per quarter for three years towards facility management charges. 10 Project Name : SAUKARYAM Expanded Name : Civic Urban Information Management System Department / Agency : Municipal Administration Year of launch : 2000 No. of sites : 2 (VMC & GMC) Project Cost : 75 Lakhs VMC ) + 20 Lakhs VMC) Objectives: To give better service to citizens by providing online information. Technology used : COM, DCOM, IIS 4, ASP -2,VB -6,ORACLE 8i, SQL SERVER 7.0, (The above is the existing technology was developed as pilot application with the existing resources as of 2000 without investing additional expenditure. ) Development is being done using following Technology: SP, PHP, SERVLETS, Apache on LINUX, ORACLE 8i, Sun Solaries,etc. for development of Saukaryam version 2. System developed /Implemented by: Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation Results ( ): 2.35 lakh people had used this option while paying the property taxes. Crores have been collected as property taxes and amount of Rs. 14 Crores as Non-Taxes Over 20,000 people have taken Instant Birth and Death Certificates. Over 2863 Registered their Building Applications through this Facility and 1.6 crores collected against this. Over 3081 registered for Tap Connection, through this facility and 1.2 crores collected. Over 646 U.G.D connections and collected 1.0 crores Increase of Garbage lifting from 4.5 Tonnes to Around 6.5 tones per day. Over 4,000 Grievances/Complaints/Suggestions received and the same were redressed. 10

Project Cost : Rs.2.00 crores (US$400,000 Objectives : The OLTP aims at integration of the Information Systems of various government departments horizontally at mandal level as well as vertically from the village to the state level. To enable automatic updation of core data of land and citizens thro the use of hand held PDA s and information kiosks at the village level. To enable web-based citizen interface for delivering of services and providing access to information.
