Navitas Careers & Internships is an integral element of Navitas Professional Training. It delivers internship and career placement opportunities to recent graduates with a focus on international students. The business also has close synergies with other business units within the Careers and Industries Division which offer a range of programs aimed at providing capabilities that drive the Find-Train-Place operational paradigm. Key programs offered by Navitas Careers & Internships are the Professional Year Program, Career Experience Program, and the Engineering Experience Program. Introduction to the Role The Team Leader - Internship Placements, works with a team of IPC s to ensure appropriate internship placements are delivered for Navitas program participants into host companies. In addition to performing the duties of the Internship Placement Co-ordinator, the Team Leader is required to oversee the day-to-day operations for the Internship Placement Team to ensure KPI s are achieved with maximum efficiency. The Team Leader position reports to the VIC Operations Manager. 2 Position Description Title: Team Leader - Internship Placements Division: Reports to: University Partnerships Australasia VIC Operations Manager, Careers & Internships 1. Overview and Objectives of the Position: The Careers & Internships (C&I) operations deliver internship and workplace preparatory courses across five Australian states to meet the requirements of national professional associations and the workforce generally. The unit provides career ready preparation for students seeking to enter the workforce at early stages of their professional career. C&I offers a portfolio of programs, which develop foundation skills and career learning skills to enable students to progress their employment goals in their chosen career. C&I operates as a collegiate, matrixed operational model leveraging the skills and expertise of the C&I and partner Navitas business units to deliver targeted and nuanced work ready and work development solutions for individuals, education partners, host companies and professional associations across Australia. The C&I team works closely with other Navitas units, to combine areas of expertise to enable a broad range of students and clients to participate and succeed in the workplace of today and the future. The Team Leader - Internship Placements, works with a team of IPC s to ensure appropriate internship placements are delivered for Navitas program participants into host companies. In addition to performing the duties of the Internship Placement Co-ordinator, the Team Leader is required to oversee the day-to-day operations for the Internship Placement Team to ensure KPI s are achieved with maximum efficiency. 3 3. Key Result Areas i. Achieve appropriate placement and engagement targets 100% of all placements are appropriate to the student s skills and assessments 90% of all placements are made on time with all late placements escalated to management with an action plan outlining activities and expected timelines for placement Each class is visited prior to internship placement Each student to receive a 1:1 meeting prior to being shortlisted to any position. ii. Business Development: 2.a) Identify new business opportunities both internally and externally 2.b) Deliver and promote new product offerings developed by C&I A minimum of 2 visits to new host companies per month Obtain at least 4 new suitable position descriptions every quarter At least 1 new ASX top 300 listed organisation to become a host company in each 12 month period Working with the Team Leader, BDC (Victoria), attend relevant number of networking events to meet State's KPI of attendance at 20 networking events per annum Annually, submit at least 2 new Business Development Initiative Proposals. iii. Increase brand awareness and industry presence with consistent and coherent marketing messages as a leader in the education and training industry Conduct at least 4 site visits to existing host companies per month Introduce 1 new business opportunity with host companies every 6 months (e.g. Study to Work Program) Obtain at least 2 host company testimonials per quarter Obtain at least 1 student testimonial/success story per quarter All host companies with an existing internship student are contacted at least once per month and a physical visit conducted at least once per placement Contribute two industry related activities (presentation) per quarter to the BDC team for promotional use Every 6 months identify at least 1 testimonial/story and the relevant media outlet for PR submission to increase C&I visibility iv. Ensure optimal use of systems, processes and procedures All data recorded accurately with less than a 10% error rate in monthly audits Follow all established and formally communicated processes and naming conventions All paperwork to be completed and uploaded into SF and SONIA within the required timelines Respond to all host company enquires within 48 hours. v. Contribute to the effectiveness and capabilities of the Careers & Internships team Ensure that professional development plans are being actioned and reviewed on a six monthly basis (NCI initiatives C28, 29) Actively contribute in the IPC meetings by providing one discussion point per quarter 4. Responsibilities and Duties: i. Achieve appropriate placement and engagement targets: Develop strong relationships at the appropriate levels within a broad range of industries across Victoria with the aim of generating internship opportunities for Navitas participants. Negotiate with internship host company on aspects of internship training plans Interview all program participants and shortlist participant resumes for host companies

4 Coach all program participants on interview skills and Australian workplace culture and place graduates into quality and compliant internships with suitable host companies Monitor the progress of the placed interns and provide support to host companies Conduct class presentations on internships as required across all internship programs Act as a liaison point if difficulties arise during the internship and manage any internship concerns that are escalated from the IPCs Monitor the progress of all IPCs in their placement activity and escalate any concerns to the State Operations Manager Monitor host company suitability and performance and address any issues as they arise Prepare weekly placement reports Develop further business opportunities with existing internship partner companies ii. Business Development: 2.a) Identify new business opportunities both internally and externally 2.b) Deliver and promote new product offerings developed by C&I Participate in networking events, information seminars and industry information days to explore further internship opportunities/vacancies. Ensure IPC team contribute to the achievement of KRA 2 objective of attending 20 networking events (excluding graduations) per annum. Secure one new ASX top 300 listed organisation per annum Conduct outbound calls and attend meetings with prospective host companies/internship providers to expand internship opportunities available to Navitas Ensure IPC team identify and prepare four new suitable positions descriptions each quarter (i.e. 16 per annum) Prepare annual reviews of Host companies and Networking activities and assist the State Operations Manager in planning for the following years activities to ensure the best ROI iii. Increase brand awareness and industry presence with consistent and coherent marketing messages as a leader in the education and training industry: Prepare and implement a schedule to ensure a minimum of four visits to existing host companies per month Introduce at least one new business opportunity to existing host companies in each six month period (e.g. Study to Work program) Obtain a minimum of two host company testimonials per quarter and forward to State Manager. Obtain a minimum of one student testimonial/success story per quarter and forward to State Manager. Develop and implement a schedule to ensure all host companies with existing internships are contacted at least once per month and a physical visit is conducted at least once per placement Contribute to two industry-related activities (e.g. presentation) per quarter to the BDC team for promotional purposes iv. Ensure optimal use of systems, processes and procedures: Ensure the IPC team are provided with the necessary information, adequate training in all business processes, and systems needed to perform their duties including meeting compliance requirements relating to data retention (electronic and paper) and data entry error rates.

5 Maintain and update the CRM systems (Salesforce, WIP, and SONIA) and ensure the IPC team are maintaining all relevant data and placement information across the business systems, with particular reference to SONIA Complete general administration work related to internship placements as required Ensure host company enquiries receive a response within 48 hours of logging the enquiry. All responses to elicit a positive customer experience and seek to find a successful solution for each case. Provide updates to the State Operations Manager regarding team activity, internship progress and host company news. v. Contribute to the effectiveness and capabilities of the Careers & Internships team: Coordinate and supervise the day to day tasks for the Internship Placement Team (IPC) In consultation with the Victoria Operations Manager, oversee staff resourcing for the IPC team, including, but not limited to; assisting with recruitment of appropriate staff, managing the teams leave requirements, providing adequate training for new and ongoing staff. Organise and manage regular meetings with the IPC team and other key internal teams Attend and contribute to senior staff meetings as directed by the State Operations Manager Ensure professional development plans for the IPC team are being actioned and reviewed on a six monthly basis Contribute to the strategic planning for the C & I Victoria team. All Other duties related to the Navitas Careers & Internships unit as directed by Senior Management and the Victoria Operations Manager 5.
