3 Why do we arrange International Weeks A habit? Internationalisation of staff/students? Networking? Benchmarking? Marketing? OR something else? 6 TAMK Art, Music and Media International Week Started 2008 as an event for both students and staff Make the learning and teaching environments more international at least for a week every year Head of DP in Media Cai Melakoski Colleagues sharing experiences & ideas about higher education in culture and media field 6 Sohvi Sirkesalo &

7 Week for students and staff Target groups: students, lecturers, partner universities & partners from companies and other institutions Since 2008 over 160 participants from over 25 countries Students attending workshops ~ Lecturers, staff & partners of the Faculty attending 20 active, 35 passive Structure: artmusicmediaweek.tamk.fi Topics from partners and colleagues / Integrated to courses workshops should / could be part of the normal program & schedule Can also be independent, own workshop 7

8 Event Management Team: coordinator & student assistant & volunteers Courses on Web Design & Live Event Management November: invitations January: topics, first participants February & March: programme, promotion & marketing starts March & April: practical information, correspondence with guests, arrangements for equipment etc. 8

10 Vision & Dream Everybody in Mediapolis campus, School of Art, Music and Media wants to participate the unique event with our international guests Students, lecturers and staff work together to make the event even better Art, Music and Media International Week will be the highlight of the year in Mediapolis campus, also the media will be interested! 10
