2 : Complete, Consistent Choice s simplified data model and modern user experience are consistent for both cloud and on premise. Designed for in-memory, brings new business capability while simplifying the IT landscape. Considerations for selecting the right solution: IT Strategy Innovation cycles Adoption/upgrade efforts TCO Commercial models Business functionality Regulatory, industry, and regional requirements Individualization options Cloud On Premise One Code Line 2

3 Cloud ERP The Right Solution for Each Customer Situation Configurable standardized processes and best practices for finance, procurement and sales In-depth support for professional services and component manufacturing with more industries on roadmap Extensibility with PaaS Public cloud infrastructure Quarterly release cycle Lowest TCO Cloud Fastest time to value Subscription licensing Cloud, single-tenant edition S/4HANA Cloud, single-tenant edition runs on SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud Customizable packages and bundles All industries supported Extensibility with PaaS 2 upgrades a year, one mandatory within 12 month window of release Low deployment/maintenance/upgrade efforts vs on-premise ERP Subscription licensing On-premise functional scope All industries supported Customize, modify, and extend Customer infrastructure or IaaS Annual release cycle, speed of adoption depending on configuration and custom modifications Customer controlled deployment and upgrade efforts Perpetual licensing 3

4 Cloud Overview Embracing the Mindset Change 1. From fit/gap to fit to standard Mindset 2. From big bang projects to continuous adoption 3. From expert driven to automated 4. From high touch to low touch Behaviors 5. From traditional licenses to subscription licenses 6. From annual upgrades to quarterly upgrades Culture 4

5 What do we mean by Fit to Standard? Out of the Box Simplicity Best Practices Latest Innovation 5

12 Fit-to-Standard Workshop Approach Consultant provides the process flows, test scripts and users so that the customer can execute the scenarios on their own. If necessary, create sample customer data to enhance the learning. Team determines and documents the configuration values required and any needed in-app extensions. The customer is responsible for providing value lists. i.e. product group definition. Team identifies and catalogs the gaps on the product backlog for further analysis and closure. Gaps may for example be identified as Roadmap items or contenders for possible side by side extensibility scenarios for example. 5 Identify required configuration 4 6 Enable customer on execution of scenarios Identify gaps Configuration Backlog 1 Review Best Practice process flow Demonstrate Business Scenarios and Concepts Discuss how the processes fit with customer requirements 3 2 * Repeat process for each scenario **Iterate through all process variations Consultant explains the process using the best practice process flow. Consultant leverages the configured system and delivered data to demonstrate the system best practices. Highlight areas that likely require configuration decisions. Team discusses and explains how the system meets or can meet specific customer requirements. Basic processes are discussed first as to gain understanding. Complex processes are built from the basic. 12

17 Integration in Cloud Enabled by APIs Application Programming Interface Digital Core A piece of code, business logic Processing inputs & outputs On Premise: more or less everything is possible Cloud: you need to have sockets and plugs (APIs) to connect with SAP S/4HANA Cloud 17

18 Integration APIs Current Situation Whitelisted public remote APIs can be used to connect Cloud with other SAP products and with 3 rd party apps Published and released on SAP API Business Hub OData SOAP CDS Views Extract/read data from Cloud system. OData services that are read only SAP traditional private remote APIs are available to connect Cloud to SAP on premise Integration through SAP Cloud Connector Published and released via SAP Note BAPI SAP Note Idoc SAP Note SAP On Premise Connectivity options from Cloud to Cloud (SAP & 3 rd party): Direct SAP Cloud Platform Integration SAP S/4 HANA 3rd Party Cloud Connectivity options from SAP S/4HANA Cloud to on Premise: Direct SAP Cloud Connector (2tier ERP) SAP Cloud Platform Integration or SAP Process Orchestration 3 rd Party On Premise 18
