Metallocenecatalyzed manufactured polyolefin polymers in particular polypropylene have been developed as a convenient»sole carrier«of highly-filled formulations. TP* Test product Key Advantages Sole carrier for better and faster dispersion of colorants, additives and fillers Licocene assures high compatibility with polyolefins ranging from amorphous to semi-crystalline Benefits Shorter mixing time Low energy input Improved production quality Simplified inventory management 2 Licocene sole carrier with universal application

3 Excellent sole carrier properties Licocene products are preferred materials recommended as excellent sole carriers for high-loaded masterbatches and single pigment concentrates (SPC) due to low drop and softening points, low viscosities and good wetting and dispersing capabilities. High monodispersibility Licocene polymers feature narrow molecular weight distribution (Mw / Mn ~ 2) and have a range from amorphous (nearly fully transparent) to highly crystalline (opaque). It has been found that Licocene permits a large amount of colorant or additives to be evenly dispersed giving the end product excellent properties without negative impact on physical and mechanical properties. The premix composition can thus provide molded, blown or extruded articles excellent optical and mechanical attributes. 4 Licocene with universal application Licocene as convenient carrier based on metallocene-catalyzed polyolefin enables the use of standard plastic processing equipment to generate high-filled color and additive formulations. The composition exhibits excellent colorant dispersion, coloring properties, increased additive concentrations as well as improved process stability. Licocene based masterbatches improve process reliability, as the polymer batch composition melts at lower temperatures that allow it to distribute more efficiently and provide better processability and increased throughput. 5 Low filter pressure value (FPV) and high relative color yields are achieved with the use of Licocene especially vital in the manufacture of fibers and high-end quality articles. Excellent results can be achieved with a combination of Licocene PP 2602 / Licocene PP 1502 and Licocene PP 6102 as sole carrier for highly filled black carbon, white and colored batches, which can be used for polyolefins. As sole carrier, Licocene assures optimal distribution of carbon black particles in the polymer matrix and exhibits relatively low filter pressure values (< 1 bar/g).
