2 About Council of Australia Limited (FCA) is the nationally incorporated not-for-profit association and peak body for the $144-billion franchise sector in Australia, which is celebrating 30 years of service to an estimated 79,000 franchise units. The Council represents franchisors, franchisees, service providers and advisors to the sector. is the FCA s official publication, published four times per year. Featuring news, issues, case studies, and commentary aimed at increasing the industry knowledge base and informing decisionmaking processes, is the pre-eminent journal in the franchise sector. With an ebook version and hard-copy distribution, is seen by senior managers, stakeholders and decision-makers in the franchise sector all around Australia. Additional copies are available to members at exhibitions, conferences and upon request. The magazine provides a number of great opportunities for advertisers to reinforce messages and provide information about services on offer in the industry and cross-unit franchising opportunities. Membership of the FCA is voluntary, and is open to any individual or organisation involved in the franchising sector, including: franchisees, franchisors, lawyers, accountants, banks, consultants, academics, and many more. The FCA exists to assist all stakeholders in the Australian franchise sector in a variety of ways to ensure that the sector is a vibrant place in which to do business.
