Physical network 4

PITS is a contractual point between GRTgaz and storages operator PITS Nord-Atlantique + PITS Sud-Atlantique = Serene Littoral + Serene Sud = Chémery + Soings + Cere North-South link A delivery point belongs either to the North Zone or the South Zone. The link is the interface between the two zones. The same network facilities make available capacity used for both the link and the PITS Atlantique North and South 5

Network performance In an interconnected network such as GRTgaz, all structures are interdependant The IP capacity is available through the structures connected to this point but also through the structures connected to these structures and so on In the case of the North-South link, all GRTgaz structures make the capacity Capacities made available on the North-South link result from all network bottlenecks and from the distribution rule between the North- South link and the PITS Atlantique (according to the season) 6

3 identified network bottlenecks In the scheme of two GRTgaz zones, 2 bottlenecks limit the availability of firm capacity for the link and the PITS North and South Atlantique 1. «North» bottleneck 2. «South-East» bottleneck - Note that the PITS capacity is declared climatic i.e. consumption dependant These bottlenecks are presented in the Winter Outlook 7

Physical to Contractual 8

Physical to Contractual Entry/Exit system - Independant subscription and use of each entry/exit point - No more physical routes In practice, includes every combinations of Possible flow - Except extreme and unlikely cases - Economically efficient Includes assumptions related to a normal use of the gas system 9

Distribution rules They were established in Concertation Gaz They are available in the part B3.1 of Code Opérationnel de Réseau They take into account - Requests made by shippers before 2:00pm D-1 for the link and the concerned PITS - Technical capacities available for the day, depending on: Consumption on the GRTgaz network Flows at every entry/exit points on GRTgaz network The rules depend on the season and the direction of flow at the PITS (injection/withdrawal) They are working outside of maintenance periods - The technical capacity of the system changes during maintenance periods 12

Capacities 13

Capacities For the North-to-South link 270 GWh/d of firm available capacity in normal conditions Capacities (GWh/d) South Zone Consumption (GWh/d) 14

Capacities For the North-to-South link 270 GWh/d of firm available capacity in normal conditions 30 GWh/d of climatic interruptible capacity, depending on the consumption forecast in the southern zone : - 30 GWh/d if South Consumption 650 GWh/d - 0 if South Consumption 260 GWh/d - Linear between these two points Capacities (GWh/d) South Zone Consumption (GWh/d) 15

Capacities For the North-to-South link 270 GWh/d of firm available capacity in normal conditions 30 GWh/d of climatic interruptible capacity, depending on the consumption forecast in the southern zone : - 30 GWh/d if South Consumption 650 GWh/d - 0 if South Consumption 260 GWh/d - Linear between these two points A scheduling part, shareable with the PITS(s) Atlantic, up to 150 GWh/d Capacities (GWh/d) South Zone Consumption (GWh/d) 16

Capacities For the exit capacities from North Zone Nord to PITS Nord- Atlantique A global firm capacity, available in normal operating conditions, depending on the consumption forecast on all zones of the GRTgaz network : GWh/d if all zones consumption 550 GWh/d - 0 if all zones consumption 1450 GWh/d - Linear between these 2 points Capacities (GWh/d) All zones Consumption (GWh/d) 17

Capacities For the exit capacities from North Zone Nord to PITS Nord- Atlantique A global firm capacity, available in normal operating conditions, depending on the consumption forecast on all zones of the GRTgaz network : GWh/d if all zones consumption 550 GWh/d - 0 if all zones consumption 1450 GWh/d - Linear between these 2 points A scheduling part, shareable with the North-to-South link in summer up to 185 GWh/d Capacities (GWh/d) All zones Consumption (GWh/d) 18

Capacities Entry capacity from PITS Sud-Atlantique to South Zone A firm capacity part available in normal operating conditions, depending on the consumption forecast in South Zone : GWh/d if South Consumption 960 GWh/d - 0 if South Consumption 380 GWh/d - Linear between these 2 points Capacities (GWh/d) South Zone Consumption (GWh/d) 19

Capacities Entry capacity from PITS Sud-Atlantique to South Zone A firm capacity part available in normal operating conditions, depending on the consumption forecast in South Zone : GWh/d if South Consumption 960 GWh/d - 0 if South Consumption 380 GWh/d - Linear between these 2 points A scheduling part, shareable with the North-to-South link, in winter Capacities (GWh/d) South Zone Consumption (GWh/d) 20

Capacities Entry capacity from PITS Sud-Atlantique to South Zone A firm capacity part available in normal operating conditions, depending on the consumption forecast in South Zone : GWh/d if South Consumption 960 GWh/d - 0 if South Consumption 380 GWh/d - Linear between these 2 points A scheduling part, shareable with the North-to-South link, in winter An interruptible part, depending on flows to TIGF Capacities (GWh/d) South Zone Consumption (GWh/d) 21

Distribution rules 22

Distribution rule in summer Every day, GRTgaz defines the available capacity for both points towards North-to-South link and PITS Nord-Atlantique Distribution is done during summer between exit capacities from North Zone to PITS Nord Atlantique and the North-to-South link A first calculation is made to share the global available capacity on these two points in proportion to the nomination made on these two points before 2:00pm 23

Distribution rule in summer For each of the 2 points, in the event that the prorata results in a lower capacity to : - Firm capacity + climatic interruptible capacity for the North-to-South link liaison or - Climatic firm capacity or 2:00pm la nomination (in the limit of 170 GWh/d) for the PITS Nord-Atlantique Capacities are switched between these two points to ensure these minimum levels 24

Distribution rule in winter Every day, GRTgaz defines the available capacity for both points towards North-to-South link and PITS Sud-Atlantique Distribution is done during winter between entry capacities from PITS Sud Atlantique to South Zone and the North-to-South link A first calculation is made to share the global available capacity on these two points in proportion to the nomination made on these two points before 2:00pm 25

Distribution rule in winter For each of the 2 points, in the event that the prorata results in a lower capacity to: - Firm capacity + climatic interruptible capacity for the North-to-South liaison link or - Climatic firm capacity or 2:00pm nomination (in the limit of 300 GWh/d) for the PITS Sud-Atlantique Capacities are switched between these two points to ensure these minimum levels - This transfer will be done within the limits of shareable capacity with the North-to-South link 26
