11 The BSCI Code of Conduct The BSCI Code of Conduct aims at setting out the values and principles that BSCI participants strive to implement in their supply chains. The BSCI Code 2.0 is based on international labour standards: International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) The UN Guiding Principles

12 Social Responsibility at the Core of Your Business Code Observance Producers of BSCI participants commit to protect workers rights as mandated by the law and the BSCI Code. Worker Involvement and Protection Producers of BSCI participants keep workers informed about their rights and responsibilities. Supply and Cascade Effect Producers of BSCI participants use the BSCI principles to influence business partners. Grievance Mechanisms Producers of BSCI participants provide a system to collect complaints and suggestions from employees.
