1 Annuncement: Call fr Candidacies fr Open Seats n GridWise Architecture Cuncil The GridWise TM Architecture Cuncil renews rughly ne-quarter f its members each year. The Architecture Cuncil annunces fur pen seats and seeks new members t represent interests in a number f areas. Existing members Jay Brittn, Larsh Jhnsn, and Dn Watkins have indicated that they will mve t members emeritus status, while member Jack McGwan has indicated his interest t submit his candidacies fr anther 2-year term. While existing members renewing their membership have the advantage f being familiar with the Cuncil, the Nminatins Cmmittee s jb is t develp a slate f candidates that best meets the desired attributes specified fr a cuncil with balanced representatin. The GridWise TM Architecture Cuncil cmprises respected thught leaders with knwledge and expertise in pwer systems, infrmatin technlgy, telecmmunicatins, financial systems, and end use electricity cnsumptin. These thirteen members are wrking tgether t articulate the guiding interperability cncepts and principles that supprt the GridWise TM visin the transfrmatin f the natin's energy system int a rich, cllabrative netwrk filled with decisinmaking infrmatin exchange and market-based pprtunities. Credibility and Outreach: Members shuld be deemed t be credible by GridWise TM stakehlders as a whle and able t relay and leverage GridWise TM Architecture Cuncil messages thrugh the stakehlder cmmunity, cntributing t underlying cnsensus building gals f GridWise TM. GridWise TM Architecture Cuncil members are expected t invest significant effrt in setting the architectural directin and reference framewrk. This means that investigatin and presentatin f cncepts and results are natural cmpnents f this wrk. A serius cmmitment t attend meetings and review relevant material is required. Member filling pen seats will be expected t cntribute up t 20% f his r her time (apprximately fur meetings per year with a similar number f webcnferences). T mitigate the demand n cuncil member time and braden input frm ther areas f expertise, dynamic wrk grups r task frces cmpsed f utside resurces may be frmed and drawn upn at the discretin f the Architecture Cuncil t supprt these effrts. Submitting a Cmplete Candidature While cmpiling the elements needed fr a cmplete submissin f candidacy, we encurage ptential candidates t indicate their intent t submit a candidacy as sn as pssible thrugh a simple (include candidate's name, title, cmpany, and a resume, if available).
