THANK YOU! Last year Phi Gamma Delta raised over $40,000 to support our service members. Without generous and engaged supporters like Phi Gamma Delta, it would be impossible for us to carry out our mission.

Fundraising Guidelines Use care when using the USO name and logo. If you would like our logo to add to posters, flyers, etc., please contact us. Taking care in these matters helps us protect our brand, just like you protect the Phi Gamma Delta crest. Important: Keep careful track of the donations that you raise. Submit the donations directly to USO, 2111 Wilson Blvd. Suite 1200, Arlington, VA within 30 days of your event. What is our Chapter Responsible For? (Planning/Execution, Attendance, Cost) What can the USO help with? (Guidance/advice, Logo, Letters, Videos)

Setting Goals How much money do you want to raise after any expenses? What is a reasonable goal? How much time do you have to put into the event? How many people do you think you can get to help you? You will need a committed team of people to help make the event a success. You will also keep your sanity and everyone can have a lot of fun while participating in the fundraiser! Key Roles: Event Logistics Coordinator In Kind Donations Coordinator (prizes, food, supplies, t -shirts) Participant Recruiter and Coordinator Sponsorship Committee Publicity Coordinator Thank you Committee Accountant Do you want to rally just your Chapter? Include other organizations (Greek and non Greek) on campus? Do you want to involve groups within the community? (Veterans/Clubs)

Lead the Way Ways to enhance your events Participants are the key. Determine how many participants you will need to reach your goal. For example, if you want to raise $10,000 than your will need 50 participants to raise $200 each. Event registration vs. fundraising requirements Don t turn anyone away. If someone can t raise the necessary $200 to participate can you find another job for them check in point host or cheerleader Ask your participants to use Social Media to let their friends know about the event and the different ways they can help. Tap into your existing networks family and friends T Shirt Sales Ask one of your creative brothers to design the official event t shirt Ask local businesses to sponsor your shirt Ask a local t shirt vendor to create the s -shirts at a discounted price Sponsorship Local businesses can sponsor the t -shirt, have banners at the event, their logo on all the flyers around campus Other Ideas

Lead the way Event Promotion Spread the word and encourage participation - Some ways to promote are: Media: Campus newspaper, local radio and tv stations. Many local media outlets have military friendly on air personalities/staff that might help. Online: Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Etc. Flyers and Posters: Flyers around campus or in area restaurants/stores that students frequent. Event Logistics/Planning Crucial for the success of your event. Consider all the details. Walk through the event in your mind from the perspective of the participant. Participant List Logistics Handout: Planning checklist Most Importantly Have Fun!

After the Event Send Thank You Cards Send a write up for campus and local media outlets. Some campuses require reporting after the fact of amounts raised. IHQ and USO also want to hear from you! Send donation form and donation to USO HQ and let us know about your success!
