42 WELHAB Habitats WELHAB has provided habitats in the North sea since the early 80 s. WELHAB is a multi functional system designed to encapsulate hot works by providing a positive pressurised safety enclosure. Using overpressure to prevent the potential ingress of toxic or explosive hydrocarbons and containing the sparks/welding fumes our units enable work and production to continue in a safe working environment. The system is designed to accommodate all types of hot work in Hazardous Areas (ATEX Zones 1 & 2) all components are ATEX certified.

43 WELHAB Habitats Fast simple installation by teams of competent Habitat Technicians. WELHAB continues to develop and evolve this engineered method to be better, more flexible and more modular whilst always providing the standard of safety expected. The construction is designed to be compatible with any shape or size incorporating all furniture, piping and obstacles. WELHAB turns Hazardous areas into safe areas, creates a safer, better working environment mitigating all risks associated with hot-works.

44 WELHAB Habitats WELHAB provides both solid and flexible, modular structures available in two systems. A flexible pressurised system comprising fire retardant soft panelling or a solid composite fire rated panelling system both enabling hot works to be carried out in a controlled manner. WELHAB can reduce the size and costs of maintenance crews, avoiding shutdown/turnaround and loss of production (non-delivery penalties) and takes pressure off crews (less man hours).
