6 An EFB pellet plant (1 t hr -1 ) was built in Mambau, Negeri Sembilan to demonstrate the techno-economic viability in producing high quality pellets with low ash content. Commercial production using pressed EFB as the starting raw material showed that the technology is technically and economically viable to be set up either as a stand-alone production plant or integrated with the POM. Production line is semi-auto with 1-2 labour. The Improved Product Low-ash Palm Pellet 6

8 Recent frequent enquiry on for non-woody pellet Sustainable and stable supply of pellet Low-ash, non-woody biomass pellet for co-firing in power plant GGS is in tight collaboration with Japanese company to improve the quality of palm pellet. Japan Korea China Taiwan China s target is a 60 65% reduction in the emissions intensity of its economy compared to 2005 levels by 2030.* The release of Implementation of a comprehensive program of Upgrading coal-fired boiler and power plant project, in November 2014 China biofuel consumers sourcing for alternative biomass pellet.
