6 A Wallet In One The Edge Smart Card is the same size as regular credit and debit cards, but with a small screen to display which card is being used at any given time. A button allows users to switch between up to 20 different cards. It supports magnetic strip, EMV chip as well as NFC purchases, and each charge can last up to two weeks. 7 Philip Morris Quit Cigarettes Philip Morris is the world s largest tobacco corporation and announced that their 2018 New Year s resolution is to quit smoking. They have positioned themselves with a new manifesto which is designing a smoke-free future. They have begun selling smoke-free products such as e-cigarettes and heated tobacco, and they re even seeking permission to print information on how to quit smoking inside packets of cigarettes. 9 In a bid to boost brand awareness and consumer engagement, Gatorade are launching a show on twitter in the form of short, live-streamed videos. Titled The Debut the series will cover various high school basketball matches and presented by TV and YouTube personality Rachel Demita together with two former NBA players. 12 The Kickstarter Store E X P E R I E N C E Not working with Kickstarter but instead direct with product brands, a group of Singaporean entrepreneurs (We the People) launched stores where people are able to see and interact with products launched on Kickstarter. Within the store, each product is displayed along with some information about the funding it reached on Kickstarter compared to their goal, effectively acting as recommendations from people who literally put their money where their mouths were. 13 Google s Voice Activated Gumball Machine E X P E R I E N C E Google made a big effort at this year s CES event in Las Vegas to showcase their Google Assistant voice technology. Among their various displays was a giant gumball machine which answered visitors questions and dispensed prizes, from smart speakers to gift cards. People had to give the representative a giant coin who activated the machine, and they could then ask a series of questions which the machine would answer, of course using Google Assistant and the pros given would be related to the questions asked. 15 Snapcodes In Fashion P A R T N E R S H I P S Together with Snapchat, French fashion retailer Coach have created pins with embedded Snapcodes. The limited edition set of pins available via Coach mark the first time a brand has created a product with technology embedded in it. Users are able to scan the pins to access an arcade game based on Coach s holiday video campaign.
