The system also offers benefits for our suppliers, ensuring that they get better insight into the status of purchase orders and related payments. Benefits for us Using Ariba means we can digitalise the various parts of the procurement process, such as: registering suppliers, organising tenders, drawing up and managing contracts and catalogs, entering data for and approving requisitions, placing purchase orders, monitoring supplier performance and receiving invoices. We are introducing the programme in different phases adding a measure of additional functionality each time. At the end of 2012, the receiving invoices element will be added. Processing purchase orders for pressure equipment will follow in 2013.

Everyone starts with the Basic level subscription. After using the Ariba Network for 1 quarter, you will be charged a fee by Ariba, depending on the amount spend and number of documents sent over the internet. Most of the suppliers do not pay anything. You will pay only if: more than 5 documents (orders and invoices) per year are sent over the Ariba network AND you exceed the threshold spend value of 35,000 euros per year.
