6 Circular Bioeconomy TIP (1) Area Covered The bioeconomy encompasses the production of renewable biological resources and the conversion of these resources and waste streams into value added products, such as food, feed, bio-based products and bioenergy. 1 In a circular economy the value of products, materials and resources is maintained for as long as possible, and the generation of waste minimised. 2 The circular bioeconomy is about the application of the circulareconomy concept to biological resources, products and materials. 3 1) Innovating for Sustainable Growth: A Bioeconomy for Europe.
