1 SKILLS DEVELOPMENT CENTRE Helping individuals to identify their skills gaps and actively address them to elevate their career trajectory Training and upskilling of the employed and unemployed The Sebata Skills Development Centre (SDC) specialises in the training and development of both employed and unemployed candidates, especially within municipalities and their communities. Since inception in 2013, SebataSDC has focused all their resources and strategies in promoting New Venture Creation and ICT (especially smaller enterprises) and reaching the disadvantaged and under-served labour market groups. Skills gap analysis pre-assessment tool The Ad Astra Leadership Potential Assessment is a pre-assessment tool used to identify gaps in: Literacy Numeracy Trainability Personality Leadership Style Decision Making Style Self-Efficacy (Individuals belief in their ability to achieve their goals) Creativity The Ad Astra Leadership Potential tool has successfully been used by the Macsteel Group, Sebata Municipal Solutions, amongst other organisations in order to identify skills gaps, enhance career path planning, motivate staff, re-organise divisions, enhance Employment Equity efforts, identify talent, improve employee engagement, improve learnership success rates, effectively balance teams, and enhance decision-making, amongst others. Once an individual's gaps have been identified, Sebata provides interventions towards overcoming them. Innovative solutions for municipalities, public entities and government

2 Creating a better future for our youth SDC LEARNING OPORTUNITIES LG SETA ACCREDITATIONS Forensic Accounting Masterclass (Not Yet Accredited) In today's economic climate, coupled with the high levels of fraud and corruption, this masterclass alerts you to early warning signs and provides evidence-gathering techniques with a focus on current case studies. National Diploma Public Finance (NQF Level 5) The need for well-qualified efficient, client-oriented public officials is identified as a priority in all spheres of government. As such, this course provides support in strategic leadership and management for public officials who work with senior management. (National Treasury Minimum Competence Requirement) Regarding the implementation of public financial management and administration reforms, the course is an effective implementation process that defines and identifies those crucial competencies required by technical public officials. Certificate: Municipal Financial Management (NQF Level 6) This course assures commonality of practice between public and private sector financial management practices. It is aimed at senior managers and future senior managers in local government. Persons seeking future employment in local government or persons employed in non-profit organisations and non-governmental organisations would benefit from this course. National Certificate: Municipal Integrated Development Planning (NQF Level 5) This course enables learners to apply strategic level development and governance competencies to ensure integrated and sustainable development and governance processes, strategies and outcomes at a municipal level, thereby achieving intergovernmental co-operation and related objectives. National Certificate: Local Economic Development (NQF Level 5) Local Economic Development is a process to secure greater local control over business enterprise, labour, capital and other resources. This course therefore provides knowledge of, and practical skills in, Local Economic Development as well as progress along this career path. National Certificate: Local Economic Development (NQF Level 4) This entry-level course is the first step in a qualifications framework that ends with a qualification at Level 6. Qualifying learners will acquire the knowledge and insight into the nature of LED and the role that local government plays. It also helps learners identify key values and frames of reference necessary for good governance for their own Local Economic Development.

3 Developing the technology savy MICT SETA ACCREDITATIONS National Certificate: Information Technology End User Computing (NQF Level 3) Designed to meet the needs of learners who require end user computing skills in all sectors of the economy, it accommodates both learners in formal education and learners already employed who want to develop this specific and informed skillset to benefit any industry. Further Education and Training Certificate: Information Technology - Technical Support (NQF Level 4) This course builds a foundational entry into the field of Computer Sciences and Information Technology, specifically in the field of Systems Support. It covers basic knowledge needed for further study in the field of Systems Support at Higher Education Levels. National Certificate: Information Technology Systems Development (NQF Level 5) It prepares learners for entry into the workplace or as undergraduate study in the Systems Development areas covered, providing them with the necessary knowledge needed for further study in the fields of Information Technology and Computer Sciences at Higher Education level. Further Education and Training Certificate: Information Technology Systems Development (NQF Level 4) This course builds a foundational entry into the field of Computer Sciences and Information Technology, specifically into the field of Systems Development, covering basic knowledge needed for further study in the field of Systems Development at Higher Education Levels. National Certificate: Information Technology Systems Support (NQF Level 5) This course develops learners with the requisite competencies against the skills profile for the systems support career path. The overarching aim being to develop a broader base of skilled ICT professionals to underpin economic growth. The qualifying learner will be a well-rounded IT professional building on foundational technical skills acquired at NQF level 4 via the National Certificate in IT Technical Support (or equivalency). Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) and Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) (NQF Level 5) This course develops learners with the requisite competencies against the skills profile for the systems support career path. The overarching aim is to develop a broader base of skilled ICT professionals that underpins economic growth.

4 Sustainable employment opportunities for our youth SERVICES SETA ACCREDITATIONS Further education and training certificate: New Venture Creation (NQF Level 4) This course meets the needs of the formal and informal Small-, Micro- and Medium-Enterprise (SMME) sector by providing training standards against which entrepreneurs can be trained. It provides persons with the ability to apply the fairly complex knowledge and skills required to be an entrepreneur thereby contributing to the economic upliftment of themselves and community. This course also caters to persons who have not received formal training in this sector but who are already managing and/or are working as employees within an established SMME business. Further Education and Training Certificate: Project Management (NQF Level 4) This course provides learners with: A foundation of basic project management knowledge and skills which can be used to build further project management related competencies Competence to be an effective project team member Competence to provide administrative support to a project manager and team members Competence to provide assistance to a project manager of medium to large projects National Certificate: New Venture Creation (NQF Level 2) New Venture Creation provides a qualification that can form the basis for structured programmes for potential and existing entrepreneurs to capitalise on opportunities to start and grow sustainable businesses that form part of the mainstream economy, enabling the learners to tender for business opportunities within both the public and private sectors. This qualification is designed for learners who intend to set up or have already set up own ventures. Assessment of the competencies and knowledge in the qualification needs to be done in the context of the learner's own new venture. Further Education and Training Certificate: Business Administration Services (NQF Level 4) It offers the learner knowledge and skills in the management of records, comprehension of written and verbal texts, business writing, problem solving, ethics, cultural awareness, self-management and self-development, project teamwork and business policies and procedures. The qualification enables the learner to specialise in areas of administration such as executive administration, financial literacy, relationship management, legal knowledge, communication, project administration and support, call centre administration and Human Resources.
