2 TEHNIAL ATÁLOGO TÉNIO ATALOGUE SIERRAS METAL-UTTING IRULARES IRULAR PARA METALES SAW BLADES Three generatins We are specialists in the prductin f cutting tls fr the metallurgical and car industries. Since 192 and fr three generatins we have wrked with the same innvative spirit and an identical cmmitment t creating the finest cutting slutins at all times. At Jem we have an exceptinal understanding and admiratin fr the mechanics, heat transfer and chemistry f irn and ther metals. Tday Industrias Metalurgicas Jem S.A. is a majr internatinal cmpany and a market leader. We exprt t five cntinents and cntinue t wrk as hard as we did at the start, s that yu, ur custmers, will always find us yur mst reliable chice. creating cutting slutins

B S-120 S-202B AW Shape AW: Small-pitch teeth, used mainly in fine machining tasks. Emplyed with series 110 and series ST-170 cut-ff machines fr high-speed cutting f brass. Teeth are bevelled with chip-breaking features. BW S-10 ST-170 This exclusive, variable tth-pitch system ensures maximum perfrmance in circular saws. hice f B, BF, and BW tth shapes. In rder t imprve and surpass the results f a cutting prcess with cnstant pitch adjustment, Jem has decided t incrprate an irregularity int the cntrlled, set pitch adjustment, cmbining this with machines where feeds are cnstant and revlutins are adjustable. The main advantages f this system are as fllws: > It reduces the vibratins, nise and heat caused by all cutting prcesses. > It enables the user t increase the feeds f the machine, saving time and mney with every cut. > It bsts perfrmance and prductivity. > It slves prblems caused by uneven cutting thickness. > Imprved perfrmance in cuts with rectangular tube angles. B,, BW, BF Ø Average pitch V.5 V V5 V6 V8 V10 V12 V16 Shape B: Medium- and large-pitch teeth withut chip-breaking features fr rugh machining tasks. Gd chip remval. ST-170 Shape BW: Alternate bevelled teeth fr pitches f under 5 mm; used fr prfiles that have several cutting interferences. BF ST z z z z z z z z z z Shape : Alternately high and lw teeth, used fr cutting large sectins. Fr pitches f ver 5 mm with high and lw teeth, used in the cutting f large sectins. The high teeth are bevelled with chip-breaking features. Shape BF: Teeth identical t Shape B, but equipped with chip-breaking features, making it pssible t cut the chip int sectins f equal width. Fr cutting tubes with sectins under mm. Emplyed with series 170 fr excellent results in high-speed tube cutting

Maximum saw blade perfrmance will be attained under such cnditins. > Nn-ferric materials > Mixed plastic metal materials Burned chips: > Steels 750 t 1000 N/mm 2. > Mixed plastic metal materials This indicates that the lad per tth is very high, putting t much strain n the saw blade. T slve this prblem, it is essential t reduce the feed n the machine. > Aluminium allys and cast irn. > Steels f ver 1000 N/mm 2. > Stainless steels > Titanium allys with high surface hardness N.B.: A saw blade must be sharpened when: > The piece being cut has dark burrs that are stuck t the material. > The nise f the cutting prcess has increased cnsiderably. > The cut des nt frm a 90º angle t the figure f the piece. > The piece des nt have a clean finish in the area that has been cut. It is vitally imprtant t have the saw blade sharpened as sn as the need arises, since veruse means that the tl will have t be sharpened much mre in rder t cmpensate fr the damage caused. > Very abrasive aluminiums > Hard-t-machine nn-ferric materials Jem develps prducts adapted t yur needs, s that yu can achieve ptimum cutting (see Excel lent range)
