Opportunity to Earn while they Learn Funding available apprenticeship framework Priority given to young people aged 16 18, Funding also available for 19+ Apprenticeship completed within a 12 month period Ageing workforce Poor perception of waste industry What s in it for the apprentice? 12 months work experience Reference from employer Nationally recognised qualification which consists of: Full Level 2 Qualification (Cleansing & Support Services) Technical Certificate Employee Rights & Responsibilities Personal Learning & Thinking Functional Skills in Literacy & Numeracy The government has set a minimum wage of 2.65 per hour rising with age agreed with the Trade Union Congress Support to gain employment or further training on completion

3 Apprenticeship Training for Frontline Services Tailor qualifications to meet requirements Variety of pathways choose units according to role Government skills pledge minimum Level 2 All qualifications cover Customer Service Team Building Health & Safety Build in any of your specific needs e.g. sharps training, graffiti removal by pressure washer, graffiti washer by hand, Litter & the Law, street cleaning, litter picking, waste collection. Financial and Contractual Benefits Agency staff typically per week v Apprentices 100 per week approx.
