Ill ADOPTION OF MINUTES 1 Minutes of the April 10, 2017, Regular Council Meeting MOTION Councillor Burr moved to accept the Minutes of the April 10, 2017, Regular Council Meeting as presented. 5 MOTION Councillor Behnke moved that Council enable the Mayor or designate to attend the Opening Ceremony and present remarks on behalf of the Town. 5 Request for Decision re: Joint Capital Fund with Northern Sunrise County Deferred until May 8, 2017, Regular Meeting of Council 6 Request for Decision re: Ratification of Collective Agreement with CUPE 898 MOTION Deputy Mayor Manzer moved that the Town of Peace River Council accept the recommendation to ratify the Collective Agreement between the Town of Peace River and CUPE Local 898 for the period of January 1, 2017 to December 31, Request for Decision re: Sick Leave Policy MOTION Councillor Sawchuk moved that Council approve the updated and revised Sick Leave Policy. 8 Request for Decision re: Museum Board Appointment MOTION Councillor Ford moved that Council appoint Luke Vander Vennen as a Member-at-large to the Museum Board for a three-year term. 9 Briefing Note re: Spring Clean up MOTION Councillor Sawchuk moved that Council accept the Briefing Note for information. 6 10 Briefing Note re: Peace Regional Recreation Center MOTION Councillor Needham moved that Council accept the Briefing Note for information. 11 Request for Decision: re: Funds for lunchroom renovations MOTION Deputy Mayor Manzer moved that Council approve the expenditure of up to $35, from the General Capital Reserve and approve Administration s use of the Town s Facility Maintenance staff to complete the renovations. IX REPORTS 1 Cheque Registers: 1. April 3, 2017; and 2. April 10, MOTION Councillor Behnke moved to accept the Cheque Registers dated April 3 and 10, 2017, for information. 8 MOTION MOTION I Councillor Needham moved to go out of camera at 7:45 pm. Councillor Sawchuk moved that the Chief Administrative Officer is authorized, for the purposes of carrying on the litigation between the Town of Peace River and Kelly Bunn and his corporation, Avant-Garde Inc., to produce, as evidence in the litigation, internal Town of Peace River communications concerning the negotiation and execution of the contract to appoint Kelly Bunn as Chief Administrative Officer. Councillor Behnke declared an interest and recused herself at 7:46 pm. She did not return to the meeting. MOTION Councillor Sawchuk Moved to go in camera at 7:47 pm.
