It adapts perfectly to all changes in the axial or radial dimensions of a pipe. It withstands extreme temperature fluctuations, so it can also be used for industrial wastewater systems. Thanks to its high elasticity, cracks and stresses due to thermal expansion or mechanical stress are avoided. Similar materials are already used today in swimming pools, by water companies and as protective layers in tanks. They are also used for the internal coating of new cast iron pipes and as the inner lining for pipelines, including sewage oil and gas pipelines. The coating forms an antibacterial protection, which makes it suitable for use in sewer pipes. Pipe rehabilitation with InsaTech uses the innovative E-Flake material. InsaFlake is a polymer plastic material, which was developed for injection moulding. It handles all challenges that arise during sewer pipe rehabilitation using plastic. The new InsaFlake technology ensures the creation of a seamless and durable inner surface that is as good as a new pipe independently of the old pipe material, and without damaging existing structures.

5 Procedure for the Rehabilitation of Pipe Interiors PREPARATION The sewer pipes are mechanically cleaned and dried. Deposits, incrustations and other obstructions are removed and the original inner diameter of the pipe is restored. That is followed by a camera inspection to survey the pipe. Major damage to the inside of the pipe is covered to achieve a uniform surface for the subsequent rehabilitation of the interior of the pipe. REHABILITATION OF PIPE INTERIORS Several layers of polyurethane resin and corrosion-resistant plastic are endoscopically applied to the inside of the pipe. The old discharge pipe gives shape to and supports the new material during curing. The result inside the old pipes is a new self-supporting and resistant sewer pipe with a wall thickness of 2 to 5 millimetres. DOCUMENTATION The coating process is monitored visually via a camera system. The results are recorded and evaluated for quality assurance purposes. After the coating, the access points to the pipe system are properly resealed. The sewer pipes can be returned to use immediately after completion of the rehabilitation work. QUALITY ASSURANCE We offer comprehensive quality assurance. All work steps are monitored, and the rehabilitated pipelines undergo an optical quality control. The results of the final check are recorded. This records are a key component of an integrated quality assurance and project documentation process. The InsaTech System is suitable for the rehabilitation of drain pipes with circular cross sections of nominal sizes from DN 40 to 200. The process can be used to rehabilitate leaking connections, holes, radial and longitudinal cracks and corrosion damage. Work is possible on junctions, bends and other fittings on horizontal as well as vertical pipes. The InsaFlake material used for this is compatible with all standard pipe materials used for drainage in buildings.

The innovative E-Flake makes all normal activities in the building possible during renovation of the pipes. Advanced equipment and quality work ensure that no discontinuities occur between the moulding layers. The material cures and hardens quickly. The material provides durable protection against corrosion and wearing. The elasticity of the material resists tensile stress and prevents brittleness as well as crack formation. E-Flake avoids damaging floor and wall surfaces as well as removal of old pipes. The material is antibacterial and thus well suited for the renovation of sewage pipes. Thanks to its ability of adaption to changes in axial and radial dimensions of the pipes, E-Flake fits also the needs of industrial sewer pipe rehabilitation. The material is environmentally and user-friendly, it contains neither solvents, nor styrene or carcinogens. The material is very resistant to temperature fluctuations and has a high impact resistance even at very low temperature. The material provides good resistance to pressure, chemical substances and mixtures, such as detergents and hot fat mixtures. The result is that the inner lining of the old pipe receives a durable, flexible, attractive and smooth surface. The material is pliable, and its smooth surface ensures minimal adhesion of waste and better and ensures better flow quality.
