6 MOVE NEXT The MOVE NEXT feature of the SC-series of autosamplers optimizes the use of the autosampler to ensure rapid sample turnaround. While the ELEMENT2 analyzes and carries out calculations, the ESI SC software enables the autosampler to clear the sample uptake tubing and move to the next sample to prepare for acquisition. By utilizing the time the ICP integrates the data collected from the previous sample, the SC-autosampler greatly increases sample throughput. Automatically rinses tubing and sits over next sample during ICP calculations Improves ELEMENT2 efficiency by reducing instrument idle time Reduces ICP running costs per sample Operates without alteration to analytical measurement time Counts (cps) Counts (cps) Standard Autosampler set up 60 Second Acquisition Sample 1 Move Next Autosampler set up 60 Second Acquisition Sample 1 Sample 2 Sample 2 Sample 3 Sample 3 Sample 4 Sample 4 Sample 5 Time (sec) Optimizing the autosampler movement increases throughput while maintaining analytical performance Dual Flowing Rinse Station Allows the use of 2 different rinse solutions Mimics the best manual sampling procedure, ensuring rapid rinse out of previous sample and minimizing cross contamination Reduces contamination of Blank solutions Efficient portion-wise rinsing, reduces consumption of rinse solutions Gravity or pressure feed to reduce contamination Rinse solutions only contact PFA Teflon, no contamination from peristaltic pump tubing 4

7 Additional Options Autosampler Probe Adapters Smaller outer diameter probes designed for micro-autosampers can be adapted for use with the SC-series of autosamplers. Adapters allowing the use of Teflon capillary or Fused Silica as sample probes are also available. Adapter for ASX-100 Probe STANDs for SC-2 and SC-4 The combination of the SC-2 or SC-4 autosampler with STAND option provides an optimized sample changer for floor standing ICP systems. The stand positions the autosampler to minimize the distance between the sample and the nebulizer for faster uptake and rinse-out. The STAND also eliminates the need for a separate autosampler table and includes two shelves with storage space.
