5 2.0 STATEMENT OF INTENT Siltech Corporation is committed to playing a leadership role in protecting the environment. The use of Nonyl Phenol & Its Ethoxylates (NPE) is an integral part of the products that we manufacture, and it is not technically or economically feasible to reduce. We will continue to use this substance in strict accordance with all applicable environmental regulations. 3.0 OBJECTIVES OF THE PLAN & ANY TARGETS Siltech Corporation prides itself on technological innovation in order to produce high quality products in an environmentally responsible manner. At this time, no viable options are available for implementation in reducing or eliminating NPE at the facility. As part of the continuous improvement practices at the facility, technical advances will be monitored for new opportunities to reduce the use of NPE Pinchin Ltd. 2

6 4.0 OPTIONS TO BE IMPLEMENTED (OR STATEMENT THAT NONE ARE TO BE IMPLEMENTED) For this substance, Siltech Corporation has no plans to reduce the usage and releases of NPE. The rationale behind this decision is concluded based on conducting a preliminary investigation of how this substance is used at the facility, the application of the manufactured products for our customers, and through discussion between engineering staff and Siltech s product chemist. NPE is a critical component of the manufacturing process and has specific chemical properties that cannot be substituted in creating the finished products according to our customer specifications. No options were identified on areas such as on-site reuse and recycling, improved inventory management and improved operating practices. These areas either were not applicable (recycling and reuse) or the best practices are already adopted in place (just in time manufacturing, lean manufacturing, and standard operating procedures). Siltech Corporation will continue to try and identify other possible reduction options in the future and implement them if it is found to be technically and economically feasible. 5.0 CONTENTS OF THIS PLAN SUMMARY REFLECTS PLAN This Plan Summary accurately reflects the Toxic Substance Reduction Plans dated November 15, 2015, prepared for the substances listed in Section 1.0 of this Summary Pinchin Ltd. 3
