The use of a resin containing Bisphenol A is an integral part of our manufacturing process, and at this time there are no technically or economically feasible means available to reduce the use of this substance. We will continue to use this substance in strict accordance with all applicable environmental regulations, and continue to implement innovative manufacturing programs to evaluate reduction options for Bisphenol A Pinchin Ltd. 4 3.0 SUBSTANCES REQUIRING PLANS The substance requiring a plan is Bisphenol A based on 2015 Toxics Reduction Act accounting information. Bisphenol A is purchased, as part of a resin, for use on-site, predominantly in the production of coils for use in hydro power units. 4.0 OBJECTIVES OF THE PLAN & ANY TARGETS prides itself on technological innovation in order to produce high quality products in an environmentally responsible manner. The objective of the plan was to identify any technically and financially feasible options to reduce the use of Bisphenol A. While no feasible options have been identified, as part of the continuous improvement practices at the facility, technical advances will be monitored for new opportunities to reduce the use of Bisphenol A at the facility. 5.0 OPTIONS TO BE IMPLEMENTED (OR STATEMENT THAT NONE ARE TO BE IMPLEMENTED) s commitment to continuous improvements has led to reductions in the use and release of Bisphenol A. The facility s continuous improvement measures, coupled with the acknowledgment that the customer provides the specifications for the products created at the site mean that there are no additional options for the facility to implement at this time. However, the facility will continue to make improvements to processes and programs when feasible and will continue to monitor areas for further improvement. 6.0 CONTENTS OF THIS PLAN SUMMARY REFLECTS PLAN This Plan Summary accurately reflects the Toxic Substance Reduction Plan dated April 3, 2017, prepared for the substance(s) listed in Section 1.0 of this Summary Pinchin Ltd.
