2 Product Manager: Viewing Items in an Equivalent Group Equivalent Group matches similar products sold under different UPCs (e.g., a regular sized item and its bonus sized equivalent) The Equivalent Group needs to be attached to both items in Product Manager, links the Sales History of both items for ordering and reporting purposes For each Atoma and Diem product that has been downloaded to your system, the Rexall equivalent product has been automatically added to it by using the Equivalent function in Product Manager 1. Click the General Parameters tab in Product Manager. This is where the Equivalent Group field is located 2. Click the lookup button in the Equivalent Group field. This will open the current list of Equivalent Group codes that are in your system 2

3 Product Manager: Viewing Items in an Equivalent Group 3. Click the View Items button in the Equivalent Group field. This will open the current list of Equivalent Group codes that are in your system Here you will see a listing of all items that are attached to the equivalent group and the inventory levels for each item. 3

4 Product Manager: Viewing Sales History for Equivalents A field called Include All Equivalents will only display if the item is attached to an equivalent group If this is checked, the combined sales history of all items in the equivalent group will be displayed in the grid 1. Click the Sales History tab in Product Manager. 2. Click the Include All Equivalent field. 4

5 Product Manager: Changing Retail Prices for an Equivalent Item When changing the retail price for an equivalent item a prompt will appear asking to change the retail price for all items in the Equivalent Group Always select No for this option. If Yes is selected, the retail price for all items in the equivalent will change (Atoma and Rexall). Once the item is save the following window will appear. 1. Click the No button. 5

6 Purchase Order: Min/Max Ordering for Equivalent Items The inventory of equivalent items is shared among the group Sales history and inventory quantities will be considered for Min/Max Ordering If the items in the equivalent group are found to require inventory, the inventory will be ordered for the first item in the equivalent group 1. Click the Include Equivalent Items check box in the Calculation Parameters section. When this is selected inventory will be checked for both items in the equivalent group before generating the order. The total inventory value will be used to calculate on orders Once the order is generated the Calculate Suggested Order screen will appear. If an item is ordered that is in an equivalent group the Equ. Group will be displayed in the Item Type column. 2. Click on the item in a equivalent group. It will be highlighted in blue 3. Click on the Properties button. 6

7 Purchase Order: Min/Max Ordering (cont d) 4. Click the Equivalent Items tab. You will now see both items in the equivalent group 5. Change the quantity of the Rexall item to zero. 6. Change the Atoma product to amount to be ordered, for example, Click the OK button. 8. Continue changing all other equivalent items that were generating in the order. The items will now appear in the Generating Purchase Order screen. 9. Press the F8 Finalize button. 7

9 Report Builder: Sales Analysis, Promo Sales, Daily Sales and Top Selling Reports When generating the Sales Analysis, Promo Sales, Daily Sales and Top Selling Reports in Report Builder you will have the option to Combine Equivalent Sales History The Combined Equivalent Sales History option will combine sales history for items that belong to an equivalent group 9
