1 University Partnerships ANZS Recruitment Director Greater China & North Asia An exciting and globally diverse role based in China Drive sales and recruitment growth in Greater China and North Asia region Work for an organisation with strong corporate values and commitment to furthering education About the role Reporting to the GM Sales & Marketing UP ANZS, this role will be accountable for sales growth and achieving student recruitment targets in Greater China & North Asia (GCNA) on behalf of Navitas Australia, New Zealand & Singapore. Working closely with colleagues in ANZS and across the Navitas Global Recruitment Team, this position will lead and develop a student recruitment team responsible for all aspects of Navitas ANZS s student recruitment activities in GCNA, focused on long-term growth. The role is responsible for the development and delivery of the Division s GCNA sales & marketing strategy, market research, marketing campaigns, marketing communications and budgeting. The external-facing sales & marketing activities will target B2B and B2C customers in order to increase market share and drive international student enrolments across all of the division s University Partnerships The ideal candidate we seek will ideally have the following: Professional level of written and verbal English & Mandarin Demonstrated success in a senior sales role within the Higher Education sector, internationally or within the Australian market, delivering sustainable business growth Proven ability to monitor, track and evaluate the success of activities and report appropriately Previous track record in leading and developing exceptional sales teams High level interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and manage stakeholders Experience of working effectively within a matrix structure to ensure competing demands are met Innovative thinking with the foresight to develop new recruitment strategies Flexible attitude to work including a willingness to work weekends and evenings in support of recruitment activities both locally and internationally Delivering outcomes and achieving targets to deadlines among changing priorities Bachelor s degree in Sales, Marketing or related area (education in Australia particularly valued). Overview and objectives of the position: Reporting to the GM Sales & Marketing UPANZS, this new role will be accountable for sales growth and achieving student recruitment targets in Greater China and North Asia (GCNA) on behalf of Navitas Australia, New Zealand & Singapore (ANZS). Working closely with colleagues in ANZS and across the Navitas Global Recruitment Team, this position will lead and develop a recruitment team responsible for all aspects of Navitas ANZS s recruitment activities in GCNA. This requires the ability to support a broad range of internal and external stakeholders across GCNA and ANZS to deliver products and services that will drive long-term growth for Navitas ANZS in the market. The role is responsible for the operational delivery of the Division s GCNA sales & marketing strategy, market research, marketing campaigns, marketing communications and budgeting. The external-facing sales & marketing activities will target B2B and B2C customers in order to increase market share and drive international student enrolments across all of the division s University Partnerships. A proactive problem solver with strong organisational skills. They will require laser focus on achieving targets and work closely with the Market and Account experts to achieve sustainability. The Divisional Recruitment Director (DRD) will focus on the short, mid and long-term strategy of the region. They will promote cooperation; instil a positive influence on others and have fun. This opportunity will be suitable for those that are naturally curious, with a passion to learn and willing to take the initiative. 2. Key relationships: Internal i. Regional Sales Director GCNA ii. General Manager Sales & Marketing - ANZS iii. Regional Managers iv. Directors of Marketing and Admissions, marketing managers and admissions managers within the UPANZS Business Units v. Student Recruitment Managers, within GCNA External vi. University Partners including their in-country representatives and stakeholders vii. Agents Page 3

4 viii. Government agencies (e.g. embassies, recruitment agents, etc.) 3. Key result areas: a) Sales i. Lead and coordinate Navitas ANZS s sales, promotional and market development activities across GCNA to enhance relevant Navitas brands and deliver long-term growth in student recruitment. ii. Lead a recruitment team to deliver sales growth and achieve recruitment targets for individual colleges and for ANZS overall. iii. Deliver high calibre ANZS specific sales tools and training to the agent and partner institution network. b) Stakeholder Management iv. Deliver market insight and accurate sales forecasts through regular and detailed reports to the Division, to each College and to Navitas Group Marketing. v. Consistently engage with Business Units to develop specific sales and marketing strategies designed to increase sales and grow overall ANZS market share in GCNA whilst minimising compliance risks. vi. Support each Business Unit in pipeline management and partner engagement. c) Recruitment vii. Develop and operationalise Navitas ANZS s GCNA Strategic Marketing Plans in collaboration with the Regional Sales Director GCNA, GM Sales and Marketing UPANZS, and the GCNA country teams. Manage and drive implementation across new and existing regions. viii. Develop sales strategies for new, niche or specific products. ix. Develop and enhance the online profile of Navitas ANZS in GCNA in liaison with Group e-marketing and ANZS based marketing staff. x. Ensure that products and marketing comply with ethical and legal standards. d) Financial xi. Manage Navitas ANZS s marketing budget in collaboration with the Regional Sales Director GCNA and the General Manager Sales & Marketing, UPANZS to deliver a balanced and transparent budget. xii. Monitor and evaluate overall divisional ROI and for each College. e) Business Development xiii. Through market research activities, collaborate with the Regional Managers to identify demand for Navitas ANZS products & services in new and existing markets within GCNA. xiv. Drive the development of Navitas ANZS products and services, effectively optimising the target market. f) Management and Leadership xv. Lead, drive and develop a team of recruitment staff to enhance and maintain a positive and proactive team-based culture. Page 4

5 xvi. Review and assess employee performance and provide appropriate training and support. 4. Qualifications and Selection Criteria Essential: i. Business level written and oral capability in English & Mandarin ii. Success in a senior sales role within the Higher Education sector, internationally or within ANZS that delivered sustainable business growth iii. Proven ability to monitor and evaluate the success of activities and report appropriately iv. Proven track record of leading and developing exceptional sales teams v. High level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills vi. Proven ability as a team player vii. Experience of working and influencing at a senior level viii. Experience of working effectively within a matrix structure to ensure competing demands are met ix. Ability to demonstrate innovative thinking x. An eye for developing new recruitment initiatives xi. Ability to take responsibility for decisions and outcomes xii. Flexible attitude to work including a willingness to work weekends and evenings in support of recruitment activities both locally and internationally xiii. Ability to work to tight deadlines among changing priorities xiv. Bachelor s degree in Sales, Marketing or related area (education in the Australia particularly valued). Desirable: xv. Proven ability to work successfully with education agents in GCNA xvi. Proven track record of leading and developing exceptional sales teams xvii.
