PBF develops, manufactures and markets these power conversion solutions, which can range from power supply units to power systems, to top-level producers of professional machines and equipment. PBF Develops Customized Power Supplies In close collaboration with our customers PBF develops concept solutions for specific high level applications. These concepts are subsequently translated into concrete products, integrating electrical engineering, electronics, mechanical constructions and software. These range from relatively simple to complex systems, depending on the demands and specifications given by the customer. PBF is a first tier development and production partner. PBF is strongly driven by technological innovation. This leads to state of the art design solutions which are beneficial for our customers. Also for this reason many large OEM companies made their choice for PBF. History of PBF Group B.V. PBF Group BV emanated from Philips through a Management Buy Out in In 2011 PBF Group was acquired by SFC Energy AG. Locations of PBF Group B.V. The headquarter of PBF is located in Almelo the Netherlands and a subsidiary location is in Cluj Napoca in Romania. Manufacturing and development are done in both locations.

Extensive computer simulation is based on PBF s own large library of models and circuit topologies. Trial & error design methods are not used. PBF can handle a broad line of technologies and power levels. Based on its broad experience, PBF can also meet any technological challenge in ACDC, DCDC, DCAC switch-mode conversion. Examples of these technological expertise are: high efficiencies, high power density, wide power range of 1 W to 100 kw, ultra-low ripple down to 300 uv, high stability and low-noise, high voltage up to 30 kv, high currents up to A and a large temperature range. 5 aéëáöå=~åç=nì~äáñáå~íáçå The Design and Qualification Process is guided by a Statement of Work (SOW) where all the steps are documented. The procedure to pass each of the 8 Design Process steps is comprehensive. Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Insurance together establish that design will ensure reliable production, high yield, high quality, consistency, and cost effectiveness. Technical Proposal, SOW and Quotation A Technical Proposal including computer simulations and a Quotation is offered to the customer 2. Kick-Off meeting (CDSR) A Critical Design Specification Review including the SOW is done together with the customer 3. Preliminary Design Review (PDR) In a PDR meeting, the conceptual design including calculations and simulations is presented 4. Critical Design Review (CDR) In a CDR meeting, the actual design including schematics, layouts and drawings is presented 5. Functional Prototype test (FAI) During the First Article Inspection (FAI) review, the first functional tested prototypes are presented and the test results are reviewed 6. Final Prototype Qualification (FAT) During the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) review, the qualified prototypes are presented and the Design Qualification Review document (DQR) is reviewed 7. Pilot Series Test After preproduction of the first pilot series a number of tests are carried out. The results are compared with the DQR document and should be equal and within specification 8. Product Release (PR) After our internal product release the customer has to release the product before series production can start.

6 ISO-9001 ISO j~åìñ~åíìêáåö=áå=íüé=kéíüéêä~åçë For assembly of products with a higher level of complexity and lower quantities PBF manufactures in the Netherlands. Activities in our factory in the Netherlands: Assembly of power supply cabinets Assembly of Power supplies with high power Production of special coils and transformers, linear motor drives and sub systems Production of more complex subassemblies Fully automated testing of Power Supplies External Transformer Units up to 60 kva and high power cabinets up to 100 kw are assembled in house. In our test department these systems are completely tested using fully automated or semiautomated test equipment Special coils and transformers are wound using dedicated winding machines. Coils are assembled into subassemblies. A number of coils are vacuum potted in our potting and coating department. PBF is specialized in Orthocyclic, bifilar and other more complex coil winding techniques

7 j~åìñ~åíìêáåö=áå=oçã~åá~ To serve the European market, PBF manufactures through a partner in Romania. Several integrated automatic production lines built around a series of modern surface mounters assemble SMD circuit boards quickly and cost effective. The lines include integrated adhesives, solder paste printing and soldering, and are equipped with loaders, paste and / or glue printing, reflow ovens and fast exchange feeder banks. For products that require special licenses or treatment, a wide range of solutions is offered including: Class II, Class III, Ex, Clean Room, ISO-9001:2000 and UL. The quality control department uses a wide range of manual and automated techniques for complete testing of PCBs, PCB assemblies and finished products. Various production units are supported by well-controlled logistics concepts. On one hand this allows to choose optimal components, resulting in competitive prices and reliable deliveries. Alternatively, operational and planning teams can adapt to the logistics concept that suits best for the customer. Quality is the most important barometer for your and our performance. That s why our production units meet the most stringent procedures regarding ESD protection, traceability and testing. Our Test systems include: Unit assembly: In-circuit test or Flying Probe test Functional testing 3D X-ray testing Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) Burn-in Testing Life Cycle Test (HASS / HALT) Safety tests like Hipot, Leakage and Earth-bond Power supply units final assembly is done in our production location in Romania. Functional and safety testing is done on the final assembly.

Our partner in China has a production area of sqm, employees, more than 150 automatic production lines, with a specialized production engineering team, supply chain management team and production management team. An impeccable supply chain system and manufacturing system provide more than 8 million various power supply products, and 150 million high/low frequency transformers and other products for the global market each year.
