1 ADDENDUM # 01 Date: 5/4/2018 Reference: IFB Number: The following questions were submitted for clarification and/or to request additional information. All questions that were submitted are listed below, along with the response and/or information requested. Effective this date, this addendum forms part of the contract documents and modifies the original IFB. Scope of Work: The existing ROW at Hwy 8 is the property line and no work is being done past the property line or in the ROW. There is no need for DOT specs at the entrance/ exit drive tie-ins Taper macadam base down 6 at the east and west edges of parking lot pavement from 10 out. Taper the south edge of the parking lot down 5 from 5 feet out. Taper the north edge of the pavement 5 from 5 feet out except for the alternate which will already by 5 lower. No taper required at north edge of pavement for Alternate 1. Undercut area at SCDOT driveway tie-ins if necessary to get correct gravel/ asphalt thicknesses. Mill down approximately 2 or as required to remove asphalt, proof-roll, and once approved install 8 of macadam base compacted as specified on top of existing base. See attached core samples sheet from BLE, for information only. Bring in fill dirt/ topsoil as needed to back-fill up to pavement surface around all edges of pavement When calculating Alternate 1 there will be about a 5 change in surface elevation. Thicken asphalt gradually in the light duty area starting at 10 from each tie-in to make a smooth transition. When calculating removal of the existing drain field and associated sub-grade calculate removing 20 x 100 x 2 of unsuitable materials. Calculate backfilling with macadam rock base. Quantities over or under will be figured through unit pricing. Two (2) sets of numbers are required to be painted in the bus parking spaces and SPARE stenciled in 4 spaces as shown on the attached- All existing fencing onsite shall be removed and properly disposed of offsite by contractor Under SCOPE: the sentence, SDPC will pay for initial inspection(s) and any additional costs due to test failures and/ or faulty workmanship. should say, SDPC will pay for initial inspection(s) and any additional costs due to test failures and/ or faulty workmanship or delays caused by the contractor will be paid by the contractor.

We expect this to happen before the end of the May. Construction cannot begin until we receive Pickens County Stormwater s approval. See Revised Bid Form Attached Layout Pavement Study All other requirements and provisions of the Invitation for Bids remain unchanged.

The Contractor shall not incur any expenses until the contract has been awarded and a District Purchase Order has been issued. An award requires that either the Contractor be signed by both the awarding authority and the Contractor, or a Purchase Order has been issued.

5 REVISED Bid/Quote Form- Addendum Page 3 of 3 BID SECURITY: The undersigned encloses bid security in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of the BASE BID. The Contractor shall have twenty-one (21) days maximum from the date of the Notice of Intent to Award to deliver Performance and Payment Bonds, Certificate of Insurance, and the Contract (signed by Contractor only). Failure to deliver these documents, as required, shall entitle the Owner to consider the Contractor nonresponsible and declare the bid security forfeited. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: Unless otherwise provided in the bid documents, PERFORMANCE and LABOR AND MATERIAL PAYMENT BONDS, each in the amount equal to 100% of the contract price, shall be required of the successful bidder if the contract is awarded. LISTING OF SUBCONTRACTORS: Section (2)(b)(I) of the South Carolina Code of Laws, 1976, as amended provides: Any bidder in response to an invitation for bids shall set forth in his bid the name of each subcontractor so identified in the invitation for bids. If the bidder determines to use his own employees to perform any portion of the work for which he would otherwise be required to list a subcontractor and if the bidder is qualified to perform such work under the terms of the invitation for bids, the bidder shall list himself in the appropriate place in his bid and not subcontract any of that work except with the approval of the using agency for good cause shown. All subcontractor listings shall be based only on specified items or substitutions approved at the time of bidding.
