This event will be held at the Kodak Theater on the Ridge, located at 500 West Ridge Road, Rochester, New York Smilez Entertainment has been one of the organizers of this award show for the last three years in our city. The purpose of the ROC Awards is to honor Rochester s own for their continued efforts in community service and involvement in the following fields: Performing Arts, Education, Health & Wellness, Human Services and Entertainment. Roc Awards mission is to celebrate and to bring recognition to Rochester s talent while providing a platform to give back to our community. The night will commence with Rochester s community nominated awards of their favorites in over 40 categories in multiple fields. In addition, there will be two special awards presented to highlight local businesses; one to the business that has gone the extra mile to make our community better, and one to a business that has been a pillar in our community across a span of years. We believe that this platform gives our city hope for a change and a manner of achieving extreme success for the rest of the year. We made the front page of the Democrat and Chronicle with a very positive review about the Roc Awards in In 2014, we exceeded our projected sales of 1,000 tickets and actually sold out the event with a crowd of 1,200 in attendance and having to turn away over 500. Last year we surpassed over 1,500 attendees and through the voting process and combined digital and social media marketing we reached 265,000 unique votes. In total with physical attendees and online marketing we reached over 350,000 viewers. As Smilez Entertainment moves forward with our work in the community, we request the support of corporate sponsors and small businesses like yours to continue the success of the ROC Awards for years to come.
