8 Employed post cleithral and urohyal bones for age determination in Hypophthalmichthys molitrix for the first time. Developed pictorial key up to genera level for the fishes of Rajasthan. Undertook Research on Fish Communities in relation of Ecology of Hillstreams of Western Himalayas. Restoration Programmes of Endangered Fish Species. Use of hard parts of fishes in fish taxonomy. Employment of fish scale structure (SEM) for species identification belonging to those fish genera having large number of fish species or having overlapping or confused morphometric and meristic characters. Use of regenerated part of the fish scale for population analysis.
