The midterm written exam requires a 68% in order for a student to continue in the course. Less that a 68% score will result in the student being dropped from the class by the instructor. Midterm skills include:

5 1 person BVM, OPA, NPA, Suctioning, O2 Administration, Vital Signs, Initial Assessment, KED, and Detailed Physical Exam. The final written exam is cumulative. Passing score for the final written exam is 68%. The final skills exam includes: Infant- 1 and 2 person CPR, Adult CPR& AED, Bleeding Control & Shock Management, Hare Traction Splint, Sling and Swathe, Emergency Childbirth and Medical Patient Assessment. Passing of all skills is required to pass the EMT course. You may retest one time on one skill only for the skills final exam. This may not be accommodated on the same day as the final exam but should be completed within 30 days of the final. You must pass all portions of this course in order to take the National Registry EMT Certifying Examination.
