Current Release 11.i New Capabilities overall 50% industry-specific 50% cross-industry Oracle s Overall E-Business Strategy Expand Industry-specific capabilities Additional New Modules Real-time Business Intelligence Lower Total Cost of Ownership

Core Manufacturing Functionality What: Inventory Bills of Material Work in Process

Inventory Consigned Inventory from Supplier Receiving & maintaining goods belonging to Supplier Can be used with or separately from VMI Suppliers can view in-transit and on-hand balances through isupplier Portal Purchasing can do consigned receipts (no accruals) Deliver into stock either in separate subinventory or commingled Can transfer from consigned stock to regular inventory using Consigned Inventory Transaction form or hand-held UI. New Consumption Setup form to define transactions that automatically consume consigned material Can adopt manual supplier billing or pay on use billing

Inventory Consigned from Supplier

Inventory Consigned from Supplier

Inventory Move Order Fill/Kill Min/Max Move Order Enhancements Can automatically close all open lines on a move order (used for partial fulfillments) Transit time Can define transit time when computing sourcing date Transit time may differ by sourcing org Report can create one move order for everything or one per planning subinventory Can optionally execute min/max for all min/max subinventories in an org OSFM Lot API Lot Transactions API allows lots split, merge, translate, etc.

Inventory Pick Methodologies for WIP All pick methodologies available for shipments now supported for component picking in Manufacturing Pick Slip grouping and Pick Methodologies (i.e. bulk picking, work order picking, user-defined grouping rules) User indicates rule for each component pick release; tasks grouped accordingly Rules may be manufacturing-specific (based on job, department, or operation) or more generic (item, subinventory, locator) Serial Tracking in WIP with Genealogy Initiate WIP transactions by Serial Number WIP jobs linked to pre-defined assembly serial numbers Serial Label printing w/job info With these enhancements, now have full serialization capability for entire Store-Build-Ship-Service process

Item Enhancements New Item Attributes Installed Base Tracking for Service (Service) Configurator Model Type (BOM) Activity Source (Asset Mgmt) Lot Substitution Enabled (Inventory) Minimum License Quantity (istore) Item Catalog and Item Revision MLS-enabled Item Category definition enhancements 2 new Flags for Purchasing Class flexfield structure Enabled for iprocurement Viewable by Suppliers

BOM Enhancements Routings Skills-related attributes for BOM resources Time Component on Operations Effectivity Serialization Starting Operation Sequence Number Switch alternate to primary API Principle Flag validation on Routings Reason Code for Resource Capacity changes Routing Export API Attachments enabled for Routing header & revisions Resource downtime as capacity change Long Description on Routing Operations Work Order Billing attributes on resource

Routing Resources- Skills region

Routings-Time Effectivity

Serialization Starting Sequence

Other BOM Enhancements AutoCreate Supply Flag on Components Used for Asset Activity BOM s to identify components for which Move Orders or PO s should be created Enhanced BOM export functionality

Work in Process Lead Time Calculation Enhancement Support for Additional Pick Methodologies Option to Manually Release Tasks for Component Picking Enhanced Warnings when Completing, Canceling, or Closing Jobs Purchase Orders Sales Orders Component Picking by Job Operation Serial Tracking & Genealogy through Production Additional Date Choices on Closed Jobs SRS Unit Effectivity Update via Mass Load Infinite Scheduler Modifications

WIP Component Pick Release

Configure-to-Order Multiple instances of ATO model under ATO model parent Can interactively add or delete child ATO model components during Configurator runtime Must be non-phantom Multi-level Auto Create Supply Option in shipping org to automatically create supply for: Top-level item All levels of auto-created configurations All levels of configurations and ATO items Each level can have different type of supply, I.e. Top-level Discrete Job Lower-level Purchase Requisition

Configure-to-Order Supply-to-Order Workbench Enables Customer Service to provide order status without navigating to PO, WIP, Flow forms for info Single source of info for Configured, Assembled-to-Order, and Drop-shipped products. Accessible from order header or line (Actions button) Can view: Multi-level configuration details Supply info for top-level configuration (WIP job, PO, etc.) Enhanced Costing Will roll up an estimated cost in Avg, FIFO, and LIFO Costing orgs for component-level cost, and transfer to parent in Std Costing org for standard Cost Roll-up. New CTO BUY cost type based on rollup list prices in that org

Manufacturing Scheduling Resource Scheduling Workbench Load/Capacity Display Display of Resource Downtime User Preferences for what gets displayed User Controlled Dispatching Advanced Constraint Violation Feedback By Department For Shared Resources Real-Time Resource Load Reduction upon Completion Equipment Downtime Integration w/eam Enhanced Forward Scheduling (Based on current time/date) Option to Respect Resource Utilization & Efficiency

Resource Scheduling Workbench

Manufacturing Scheduling Scheduling Time Fence Decimal Values in Load/Capacity Graph Support for Scheduling Jobs longer than Horizon Length

Shop Floor Management Supports complex shop floor information needs Bridges the gap between MFG and MES systems Not just for the Semiconductor industry anymore Features: Dynamic Network Routings Complex Lot Transactions Lot Genealogy Yield-Based Operational Costing Co-Product Definition Integrated with APS, WMS, outside MES systems

Shop Floor Management Co-Product Enhancements Jump Enhancement Outside Processing Enhancements on lot-based jobs Time Component on Routing Operations Kanban supports lot-based jobs Operation & Component Effectivity on Lot-Based Jobs

Warehouse Management Cluster Picking Common UI for Mobile Receiving Direct Ship on LPN Reservations Drop by LPN Express Receiving for Internal Requisitions Labeling Enhancements Response API for Material Handling Equipment Re-use of empty LPN s Task Planning Control Board

Product Lifecycle Management Process of Managing products through entire life Concept Development Prototype Product Introduction Maintenance Retirement Heart of PLM: Advanced Product Catalog Browser-based application Can manage product definitions and catalog through life cycle Can perform change management (I.e. ECO s) Can collaborate with suppliers and customers with secured data

Advanced Product Catalog Item Catalog Security Control over certain aspects of item information Item Classification Hierarchical categories with inherited functions/attributes Item and Item-revision user-defined attributes for structured specification information User-defined functions by category Role-based security at org, catalog category, or item levels Keyword search and advanced search capabilities Multiple descriptions and images for an item Can assign a lifecycle to an item

Advanced Product Catalog

Advanced Product Catalog Change Management Flexible Approval routing system with rolebased security User-defined Change Categories and Types User-defined Line Types & Attributes Workflow-based Assignment/Approvals Advanced Search capability Dependency Management Item and Project Reporting references
