1 Territory Account Manager (MD, NC or TX based) Looking for bilingual Chinese-English young professionals with passion in selling genomics services. The Territory Account Manager's role is to ensure achievement of territory sales objectives in line with the Company's mission; to develop and implement sales plans through both strategic and tactical activities; and to provide regular feedback on status of specific sales opportunities, the market and competitor activities. This position will directly manage BGI s genomics service business with industry, academic and government accounts in southeast region of US (South of PA, MD down to Florida, Texas). Essential Functions: 1. Assume overall accountability for establishing and implementing an effective sales plan, meeting regional sales goals with budgeted resources and developing key account sales strategies. 2. Understand and maintain current knowledge of the company's products and services. Keep informed on technology development, market competition, policies and regulation, etc., in the genomics space. Utilize resources and perform research to determine sales patterns and strategies for different market sectors. 3. Perform territory business analysis and report results to Director of Sales on a regular basis. Evaluate budget execution, product performance, operation efficiency within territory and report results/suggestions to leadership team. 4. Identify key business opportunities in research, clinical and pharmaceutical space. Develop and maintain relationship with key opinion leaders. Utilize customer resource to expand BGI influence and to secure key business opportunities. 5. Coordinate with project managers, production team, etc. to ensure smooth execution of projects and proper communication of project status to clients. Work with product managers through collaborative projects with key clients to drive product development. 6. Attend national, regional conferences, trade shows and corporate meetings as scheduled. 7. Understand BGI value in broader scope and being able to communicate BGI vision beyond sequencing services. Job Requirements: 1. PHD in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics or equivalent science

2 degree. 2. Extensive experience selling next generation sequencing and other genomics services such as microarray, genotyping, diagnostics, etc. 3. Strong understanding of the market and customer needs within the Next Generation Sequencing industry. 4. Willingness to travel. 5. Excellent communications, analytical and organizational skills 6. Require American citizenship or with working permit in US. 3 Director/Senior Director, Business Development Boston The Director/Senior Director of Business Development will be responsible for leading business development primarily with pharmaceutical accounts across the nation. Major responsibilities include identifying key business opportunities, maintaining strategic business relationship, developing and executing an effective business plan to better position BGI s value in the pharmaceutical industry. Roles and 1. Assume leadership role in business development with US and global pharmaceutical/biotech accounts. Identify key business opportunities, develop and maintain key business relationships with pharmaceutical and biotech accounts. Leverage on BGI global resources e.g., research expertise, diagnostic business, hospital networks, regulatory experience, etc. to deliver and maximize BGI s value to pharma clients. 2. Assist US general manager and BGI management in defining overall strategy and long term plan to better position BGI in pharmaceutical industry. Coordinate with R&D, Production, Product Development, Marketing, Project Management, Quality Management, and other groups within BGI organization to develop needed capabilities, to streamline service workflow and product line tailored for pharmaceutical business. 3. Build up strategic alliance with key industry players to extend market penetration through technology or commercial collaboration. 4. Advocate BGI at key industry meetings, workshops, KOL groups, etc. to position BGI as a leading player in genomics, molecular Dx and biomarker development fields. 5. Coordinate with marketing team to develop sales tools for pharmaceutical applications, position BGI s biomarker solutions at major conferences, etc. 6. Assist US general manager in building up a business development team tailored for pharmaceutical business. Coordinate and lead team to achieve revenue growth and brand recognition in pharmaceutical sector. 7. Work with US general manager in supporting headquarter management in strategic business evaluations including oversea M&A, licensing, business collaborations, etc. 8. Understand and maintain current knowledge on company s products and services, esp. their applications in drug discovery and development. Keep informed of drug development trend, biomarker strategies of major clinical programs, regulatory policies affecting pharma decision in biomarker/cdx strategies, key technology development and adoption by pharma clients, competitive landscape, etc. 9. Attend national, regional conferences and corporate meetings as scheduled. Accompany key business partner in visiting BGI headquarter when needed. Job Requirements:

4 years experience in pharmaceutical industry, R&D and/or business experience in biomarker discovery, molecular diagnostics, genomics, bioinformatics strongly preferred. 2. Minimum MS in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics or equivalent science degree. Ph.D. preferred. 3. Experience selling next generation sequencing and genomics service/products required. Sales and business development experience with pharmaceutical accounts strongly preferred. 4. Excellent communications, analytical and organizational skills. Strong team work spirit. Leadership and management experience strongly preferred. 5. Willingness to travel. 6. 5 Molecular Biologist (Job Location: Philadelphia, PA) 1. Performs NGS experiments according to strict methodologies, procedures, and/or protocols and makes judgment based decisions as necessary; 2. Reports to supervisor and/or lab managers as needed 3. Operates and maintains laboratory equipment to carry out laboratory tests 4. Independently analyzes, interprets, records and reviews testing results 5. Implements all safety and quality assurance policies and procedures when completing work 6. Tests out new NGS reagents in order to optimize workflow, SOPs, and available lab services 7. Develops "in-house" kits or reagents in order to improve workflow, SOPs, and available lab services 8. Generates presentations about laboratory work for laboratory staff; compiles information for creating required documents and records; keeps current with technical developments especially those which can save time, lower cost, and improve reliability; devises new applications of NGS for laboratory in diagnostic or other field 9. Performs other work related duties as assigned Qualification: 1. BS in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry). Master's degree preferred. 2. Familiar with high-throughput production environment; experience with liquid handling automation preferred. 3. Expertise in molecular biology techniques including PCR, genotyping or sequencing; familiarity with molecular biology systems, processes and high-end analytical instrumentation; 4. Detail oriented, excellent record keeping abilities, analytical and organizational skills; Work well in team setting.
