1 How to travel to Fethiye Fethiye, a popular tourist destination, has an international vibe. The town acts as a portal to the inland countryside and is perhaps the only place on the planet with sarcophagi in the streets. The location has a fantastic marina and is known for its vibrant nightlife. In the floodlit darkness, the pre- Roman Lycian relics take on a dazzling appearance. While the town has a population of about 50,000, there is a population boom during high season, from April to October, as off-shore residents come here to spend their summers as second homes. So, pack your bags, get your turkey e visa ready and fly to your second home. Get in to Fethiye From Fethiye, there are direct road links to other cities in Turkey, including Bodrum, Marmaris, Izmir, Antalya, and Istanbul, among others.

2 By Flight Antalya or Dalaman are the closest international airports to Fethiye. Antalya is about a three-hour drive away, though Fethiye is about an hour away from Dalaman. By Car Fethiye is linked to the north (Marmaris, Akyaka, Mula, and the Southern Aegean) and the east (Antalya) via the D400 highway, which runs along the Lycian coast. However, a mountain road runs from Antalya to Korkuteli through the sparse juniper trees, with a branch to Denizli to the north. Car Hire Tips and Driving Rules

3 Taxi A quickest and easiest way to move around in Fethiye is with taxis. Rental cars are available near hotels, stores, and beaches. A taxi may also be flagged down on the highway. You may also request that the hotel staff arrange for a cab for you. One advantage of taxi services in this city is that the drivers speak decent English, making it easy for you to communicate your destination. Taxis are yellow in colour, and they have metres that decide how much you would pay for your journey. You can, however, bargain for a lower price, particularly if you're going on a long journey. Car hire Petrol prices in Turkey are very high, so using the services of car rental companies who also hire diesel vehicles is the perfect way to save money when travelling. There are several firms that loan vehicles. The charge varies on the time of usage of the car. During the contract signing period, you must have your passport and international driving licence. Before signing the papers, double-check if any current harm is recorded in the deal. Driving here is on the right side. If you meet with an accident, contact to the car rental agency.

4 You should be at-least 22 years old and have a valid driver's licence for at least two years. Since you've been given the car, it's up to you to keep it in decent working order and accident-free. Local gendarmes can sometimes stop you at the entrances to villages and towns. You must present a valid international driver's licence, turkey visa, and vehicle documentation. As a result, make sure you have all those documents with you whenever you drive.
