Before travelling down the coastal road to the Byzantine Hippodrome, one of the giant race carts of the Byzantine Empire, you can see the Mosque consecrated to Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent and the Fortress of the seven towers. Go to the Blue Mosque from here. Your future visit will be Agia Sophia, the Divine Wisdom church, once the Christian world's largest church. Stun the marble decorations and the unique mosaics. After lunch, visit the splendid Topkapi Palace, the Ottoman sultans' official residence and the "Spoonmaker Stone," the seventh-largest diamond in the world. Finish with a carpet show and the chance to shop with souvenirs near the exotic Grand Bazaar.

3 KUSADASI - EPHESUS - HOUSE OF VIRGIN MARY - BASILICA OF ST. JOHN (5 HOURS) Cross the colourful city of Kusadasi to Mt. Koressos. Here you can visit the modest chapel on the site of this house in which the Virgin Mary is believed to have survived and spent her last days after the Crucifixion. In Ephesus, you will find countless temples such as the Forum, the Odeon, the Celsus Library, the Scolastika's Thermal Baths and the Grand Antique Theater. Go back to the Arcadian Way to your coach, where Mark Antony and Cleopatra once rode. When you drive back to Kusadasi, you visit the St. John Basilica, which Emperor Justinian built over his tomb in the sixth century AD. See the other columns and mosaics. Come to Kusadasi and shop for souvenirs with some spare time.
