2 Yhteentoimivuus.fi what is it? Yhteentoimivuus.fi is a national portal and publishing platform, which gathers together information for supporting interoperability and enterprise architecture work by Finnish Public Administration offers a forum for discussion and comments is developed in collaboration with Public Sector Agencies and other Partners. 2

11 What can You do in Yhtentoimivuus.fi? browse and find assets and components of interoperability share your own assets and components read current information about common architecture work by Finnish Public Sector find training and support material for common architecture work and participate in discussion groups 11

12 Publishing process and use of the Assets Registered users can upload assets and make a proposal in order for them to be published The editor-in-chief accepts the publishing of the assets step by step The registered users can download assets. This spring asset download will be accessible to all users, not only for the registered ones

13 How is the Content Production organised? Yhteentoimivuus.fi is owned and financed by the Ministry of Finance (Public Sector ICT) of The editor-in-chief/the Ministry of Finance A small editorial group A network of users Contents are produced in collaboration with the users Technical implementation, maintaining and development by the Government IT Shared Service Centre 13

14 How has Yhteentoimivuus.fi evolved? Yhteentoimivuus.fi was launched at the end of October, 2011 Content production is continuing; contents will be developed jointly with the common architecture work The costs of the setting up of the portal about budget /year The amount of users has been growing constantly There is a lot of work to be done 14

15 Usage of Yhteentoimivuus.fi (Febr 2012) Users Number of registered users 318 Unique visitors ~ 500/month, All visits ~1500/month. Usage of the platform is measured by Awstatistics, server-based measurement Assets Number of assets 165 Licencing model chosen by the owner of the asset

16 What barriers had to be surmounted to set up the asset repository? there were no real barriers to set up Yhteentoimivuus.fi the need was clear, the Parliament had given the goal of interoperability Yhteentoimivuus.fi was needed as a tool for the enterprise architecture work, which is based on the law (the Act on Information Management Governance in Public Administration) semic.eu gave a model and an open source solution to start with

17 Yhteentoimivuus.fi what needs to be improved, goals and objectives A new platform in Users ~ 1500 and more in Good quality and comperensive contents for developers of enterprise architecture and interoperability Platform for Finding, Sharing, Collaboration and Discussion concerning assets for interoperablity Outstanding usability Language versions in Swedish and English Interoperabity with ADMS Machine-readable content To ensure the maintaining and development of project or research-based assets

18 Yhteentoimivuus.fi Vision 2016 Central forum for information and assets concerning enterprise architecture and interoperability of Public Administration in Widely known and used by all the Public Administration Agencies of Part of the European network of Interoperability

19 How can ADMS help? Future plans related to the federation of asset repositories? ADMS gives a model and makes possible the sharing of the semantic assets on the European level After ADMS is finalised we are going to specify how the mapping fits our schema and see what changes should be made and what the costs would be We aim to develop our schema to become interoperable with ADMS We plan to join in once the Yhteentoimivuus.fi is developed further
