For Revaclear dialyzers, clinical studies 1,2 have shown limited influence of dialysate flow rates above 600 ml/min on dialysis dose delivery (Kt/Vurea). In addition to the above, each dialyzer has a removable label that displays the batch number, sterilization and expiration date. This makes patient file documentation easy and avoids transcription errors.

Increased efficiency The Poracton membrane uses a synthetic polymer material in a 3-layer structure. Reduced diameter and wall thickness minimize resistance to solute diffusion and allow a more efficient removal of uremic toxins. Optimized fiber characteristics. Excellent performance The optimized fiber geometry improves the distribution of blood and dialysis fluid resulting in better performance per unit of membrane area. The excellent flush and rinse-back process is due to the uniform fluid distribution in the blood and dialysate compartments, which has been revealed by magnetic resonance imaging. Minimized coagulation risk A combination of hydrophobic and hydrophilic polymers creates an exceptionally smooth surface on the interior side of the hollow fibers. This minimizes the protein adsorption and deposit formation that may lead to coagulation. More endotoxin retention. Minimizing microinflammation The exterior side of the membrane prevents endotoxin fragments from the dialysis fluid passing over into the blood minimizing the risk of chronic micro-inflammation that can develop in dialysis patients.
