3 Sudspave Sudspave is a system of interlocking cellular plastic paving units designed for the stabilisation of trafficked grass or gravel surfaces. Suitable applications include car parks, emergency and maintenance vehicle access roads, cycle paths and pedestrian areas. Sudspave offers a cost-effective, robust and aesthetic solution for many applications where gravel retention or grass reinforcement is required and where source-control of surface water forms part of a Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) design. Designed to be installed onto a stone sub-base construction incorporating Geogrids to minimise material and construction costs, the paving units may also be considered for reduced-dig applications where the depth of excavation has been limited due to archeological or SSSI concerns, or in tree-root protection zones. To aid rapid installation, four individual Sudspave units form a pre-connected 1m² section and the paving system clips and locks together to provide a continuous integral surface which is able to resist deformation and dislocation. The paving units can be filled with either an angular gravel for a hard wearing surface or with a formulated growing medium into which grass seed is sown to provide a vegetated finish suitable for occasional trafficking. 6 Truckcell Truckcell is a heavy-duty cellular paving system designed for intensive usage and high-load traffic applications. The cells can be filled with topsoil and seeded or with gravel to provide a robust structural surface. Truckcell is manufactured from 100% recycled plastic and is strong enough to withstand trafficking from vehicles with high wheel loadings such as trucks, buses, fire appliances and refuse vehicles, making it suitable for applications such as HGV parking and access roads, fork-lift loading areas, car and coach parks and emergency vehicle access routes. Once installed, the open-cell structure is filled with a free-draining material to form a pervious surface which can provide surface water source control within a SuDS design. Advanced Turf Advanced Turf is a patented rootzone reinforcement system which brings unrivalled resilience, durability and health to natural grass surfaces. The Advanced Turf system comprises selected sand and soil rootzone into which thousands of small interlocking polypropylene mesh elements have been pre-blended. When installed it is supplied with a turf finish. As the grass roots develop they penetrate through the mesh to form a deep-anchored root system and a very stable rootzone. It has many applications including permanent emergency and maintenance vehicle and occasionally-used HGV routes, helipads, sculptured slopes, walkways and occasionally but intensively trafficked multi-use event areas. Ecobloc Ecobloc is a cellular system designed to form underground voids allowing the infiltration, detention, retention or harvesting of rainwater collected as part of SuDS scheme. The modular concept allows the system size and bearing capacity to be tailored to suit site specific requirements in both trafficked and non-trafficked areas. Designed correctly EcoBloc has the capacity for a heavyduty lorry bearing capacity of up to 60 tons with as little as 800mm earth covering. Even under very heavy loads the EcoBloc system can be installed at a depth of up to 5 metres, this means that up to 14 layers are possible. The lightweight units are easy to handle on site and the modular system requires and no specialist tools to install. Geogrids and geotextiles ABG s range of geogrids and geotextiles complement the paving system range offering reinforcement, filtration and separation properties. High performance geogrids (Abgrid, Trigrid) offer a reinforcement in the sub-base that may offer savings in stone depth of up to 50%. This saves on materials transport to site and in some case disposal of materials off site as well as preserving valuable natural aggregate resources. The inclusion of geotextiles (Terrex) within the pavement build up add a valueable filtration property to the pavement helping meet objectives for the quality of water discharged from site. Geotextiles also prevent the mixing of materials and subsequent of clogging of the system with fines. 6

7 Sudspave Block Sudspave Block is a range of concrete blocks designed for use in both residential and industrial, high-load applications. The specially shaped blocks allow water to permeate through to the lower levels, helping to prevent local flooding by forming a pervious surface through which surface water can freely drain. Sudspave Block are available in a wide range of colours and styles and are available in a standard 60mm depth, or 80mm for high-load applications. Used in conjunction with other products from the ABG range of porous pavements, Sudspave Block offers an aesthetically pleasing finishes to SuDS pavements. Erosamat and Erosaweb ABG offer a range erosion control products developed to protect designed landscaped areas within the SuDS scheme. Features such as swales, channels and slopes are likely to carry high water flows during storm events and it essential that these are protected whilst the vegetation is established. ABG s range of erosion control products include biodegradable coir and jute mats (Erosamat Type 1, 2 &4) for short to medium erosion protection, polymer based erosion control mats (Erosamat Type 3) offering long-term, wholelife protection in areas where higher flows maybe expected and geocell mattresses (Erosaweb) suitable for stone infill in areas where exceptional flows are expected.
