2 KILWAUGHTER CHEMICAL COMPANY LIMITED Kilwaughter Lime has been an established mineral and quarry processor since Quarrying and production facilities are based at headquarters in Larne, Northern Ireland, where operations span a 75 acre site. Product lines include: G-LIME MASTERCAL & CUBICAL LIMESTONE & MINERALS Kilwaughter quarry produces the much sought after Co. Antrim white limestone used in the agricultural and construction industries throughout Ireland. 2
3 THE ENVIRONMENT We take pride in innovative product design, however the impact on the environment is also important. Environmental considerations are an integral part of business practice. Care has been taken to ensure that from the earliest stages of product design through to manufacturing, modern technologies have been utilised to help reduce our impact on the environment. Three areas of particular attention are: RESPONSIBLE MANUFACTURING ENERGY EFFICIENCY & RECYCLING MONITORING BIODIVERSITY Kilwaughter Minerals Ltd s Environment Management System is certified to ISO Accreditations All products carry ISO Products are quarried and distributed throughout Ireland for use in agriculture, construction and specialist industrial applications. 3
4 G-Lime G-Lime granulated lime is a unique, fast acting soil conditioner, specially formulated to help manage soil ph and improve soil fertility whilst optimising arable crop, grassland yield and quality. G-Lime contains superfine, high purity calcium carbonate which is ideal for neutralising acidic soils and therefore increasing nutrient uptake and improving fertiliser use efficiency, resulting in higher yields and crop quality. It can be spread using a conventional fertiliser spreader and begins to work immediately. G-Lime use is growing year after year, due in no small part to its ease of application. Farmers can order G-Lime in various package sizes and have it sitting in the shed ready to go when the weather turns and the fields are ready for sowing. It is loaded and spread in the same method as fertiliser with the same equipment, making it an ideal way to correct the soil ph. There is no need to co-ordinate with others and compaction risk is minimized, and because superfine lime is in granular form, the most effective and reactive part of the lime lands on the intended target instead of drifting away. G-Lime Benefits Immediate reaction in the soil Rapid ph adjustment Improves fertiliser performance Improves grass & tillage yield Easy spreading Can be used to spot treat Please contact our Technical Support Team for help on or G-Llime@Kilwaughter.com 4 All products are available delivered or via ex-works collection in: Bulk, 30x50kg bags, 4x500kg quad packs & 600kg top lift bags.
5 MasterCal & CubiCal Specially formulated products designed for livestock bedding applications. The high calcium limestone powder inhibits the pathogenic bacteria present in livestock cubicles, and can aid prevention of environmental mastitis and other bacterial diseases. MasterCAL MasterCAL is a unique premium product specifically designed for use as bedding material in livestock stalls. It is formulated to give high levels of bacteria control whilst minimising the risk of inflammation or burns that may be a problem with other treatments. The blend of high purity limestone and hydrated lime will aid the prevention of environmental mastitis by rapidly raising the ph level in the stall up to 12.4 and quickly diluting to a ph that buffers above 9.0. This gives an immediate bacterial kill and then maintains an environment inhospitable to bacteria without the risk of damaging livestock tissues. CubiCAL CubiCAL is a unique product designed for dairy and beef livestock bedding applications. The inorganic powder of high-calcium limestone will not support growth of pathogenic bacteria present in livestock cubicles, and can aid prevention of environmental mastitis. Please contact our Technical Support Team for help With regular manure and feed removal, CubiCAL can help keep cows cleaner and drier, allowing drainage of moisture away from the animal. All products are available delivered or via ex-works collection. 5
