26 Hazards from Water Accumulation Protective methods include shielding, dewatering, removing workers during heavy rains, re-inspect following each rain prior to re-entry.

27 Stability of Adjacent Structures shoring, bracing, or underpinning shall be provided to ensure the stability of structures for the protection of employees

28 Protection from Loose Rock & Soil keep materials or equipment at least 2 feet from the edge of excavations, or use of retaining devices that are sufficient to prevent materials or equipment from falling or rolling into excavations

29 Inspections Required daily and prior to entry. After every rain, snow, thaw, etc. When fissures, cracks, sloughing, undercutting, bulging, seepage, etc. occur. When any indication of change or movement of adjacent structures.

30 Competent Person capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards has authorization to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate or control these hazards and conditions CLIENT SAFETY SERVICES

31 Fall Protection Walkways shall be provided where employees or equipment are required or permitted to cross over excavations. Guardrails shall be provided where walkways are 6 feet or more above lower levels.
