1 PROCEDURES To create a new requisition in Talent Ed, go to the Talent Ed online application system at If you have an employee exiting the district, please fill out an e-sheet and a resignation form and turn in to Human Capital Management and Support Services immediately. If you have a new position, please contact Luanne Shrout in Human Capital Management and Support Services to create a new job description. To create a new job posting for a vacant position, create a new requisition in the Talent Ed system as listed below. Enter your user name and password. Your user name should be your address. If you are a new user to the system, your password will be You will be prompted to change your password on your initial login. To create a new requisition, click on the Requisitions tab.

2 Click on the tab called New Requisition.

3 The new requisition form will appear.

4 For the position ID number, list your position control number. Click on the Select Template. Scroll down alphabetically to locate the title of your position description. If your position description is not listed, contact Luanne Shrout in HCMSS. If the correct position description is there, click on select next to the position title. The job title will be listed under Title and the job description will populate. Make sure that the job description is up to date. If not, make changes in the Description template.

5 Select a shift type from the drop down box. Select a salary code from the drop down box. Select a job category type from the drop down box. Select your district location from the drop down box. Ignore the Special Job Qualifications tab. In the notes to HR section, please list for how long you would like to post the position and list notes regarding must-haves and special requirements for HCMSS to consider.

6 Select the drop down box for the Requested Action tab. Select the drop down box for the Funding Source tab. Select the drop down box for the Full-Time Equivalent tab. List the person currently in the position (if there is one). Select the drop down box for the Location tab. Select the drop down box for the Department tab (if applicable). Select the drop down box for the Division tab (if applicable). Ignore the Bargaining Unit tab. Select the drop down box for the Months Per Year tab. Select the drop down box for the Day Per Year tab. Type in the Salary Range amount for classified positions. If for a certified teaching position, please list See teacher salary schedule under the Position Range tab.. Type in the hours to be worked in the Working Days tab.

7 List the estimated start date Select the Budget Year drop down box. Ignore the Hiring Supervisor tab. Complete all budgeting information. List the budget code(s) and the percentage(s) under the Budget Code and Percentage tabs.

8 List current employee information (if applicable). Select appropriate Workflow drop down option and verify approval path. Press the Save and Submit button. The Workflow approval process should take on average between hours.
