2 Clean-iX Metals Recovery Combining the most efficient extraction and purification technologies with the best resin to deliver optimum solutions to clients. The Clean-iX process, developed by Australian-based company Clean TeQ, is built on the foundations of continuous ion exchange, a process that has been used in the industry for over 50 years. While the continuous counter-current ion exchange platform is similar for both metals recovery and process water treatment, the technology has been branded using different names: Clean-iX for metals recovery and Ionic Filtration ( ) for process water treatment. Counter-Current Ion Exchange Clean-iX for metals recovery for process water treatment crip Resin-in-Pulp cril Resin-in-Leach clx Liquid Extraction U-Column Concentration Desorption Dealkalisation and Target Species Removal DeSALx Brackish and Sulphate Dominant Desalination HiROx High Brackish High Recovery Reverse Osmosis

3 Clean-iX for Metals Recovery The modular full-scale and mobile Clean-iX range for metals recovery consists of continuous resin-in-pulp (crip), continuous resin-in-leach (cril) and continuous liquid extraction (clx) to recover ionic species from feed solutions, as well as U-Column concentration desorption for the production of high purity eluate. Leachant Slurry Tails To Elution Make-up Pulp / Slurry / Solution Leaching crip/cril/clx Elution Wash Water Resin Solution / Slurry Resin Screening & Fluidised Wash Resin Elution Straight Column or U-Column Eluent Clean-iX Process Metal Rich Eluate crip: Direct metals extraction from leached slurries and pulps, eliminating costly solid / liquid separation operations. cril: Direct metals extraction from leach pulps combines leaching and extraction into one stage. clx: Extraction of metals from clarified leach liquors using a moving packed bed column, maximising adsorption. This method of extraction has the highest efficiency compared to conventional technologies. U-Column: Patented U-Column for concentration of target species in-column producing a product eluate of higher concentration and purity than any other available elution technology. 4 for Process Water Treatment The process can be likened to the continuous sand filtration process, the principal differences being that in the former process, charged resins are used instead of sand, and the process continuously removes dissolved salts (TDS) in addition to solids (TSS) from mine water. The modular full-scale and mobile range for process water treatment consists of single stage, dual stage DeSALx and HiROx to remove both cations and anions from feed waters. Resin Solution / Slurry Recycle to Feed Brine, Waste or By-product Recovered to Desorption Feed Adsorption Resin Washing Desorption / Elution Final Washing Product Water Feed or Process Water Chemical or Brine Water Ionic Filtration: Mine process solution enters the bottom of the adsorption column and leaves via the top, ready for beneficial re-use or complementary processing. Fluidised Wash: Dirty loaded resin is washed from contaminant solids in a fluidised wash process. Regeneration: Loaded resin is introduced to application-specific regeneration solutions, alkalis, acids or salts. Final Wash: Regeneration solutions are washed from the regenerated resin for recovery and reuse in the Ionic Filtration column.
