Working alongside the Executive Director Business Development, in this role you will coordinate, execute and drive the organisation s Thrive brand across Australia. You will draw upon your solid business acumen, attention to detail, understanding of the health and community sector and strong work ethic to create opportunities for the business to grow. Thrive Mental Health and Wellbeing Centre s offer a targeted range of supports and services that aim to maximise recovery outcomes. Our Thrive Centre services include group education and learning, mentoring and coaching, education and vocational support, housing and linkage services, counselling and NDIS planning and access supports. The Business Development Manager Thrive Centre s works within the Business Development Unit, working alongside Divisional Operational units where Thrive Centres are located. The Business Development Unit is set up to improve revenue generation ability via assisting in the optimisation of business development opportunities, both within existing Mind Australia programs, and to identify new opportunities with the sector.

3 Business Development Supporting Thrive Centre Lead staff by providing research, sales data, account analysis, new product information and directing this information into sales and marketing materials Researching competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing and advertising; maintaining research databases. Strong NDIS and Public and Private Health sector knowledge. Increase the level of community interest. Ensure all tiers of Thrive are visible. Ensure Thrive is effectively highlighted and promoted. Ensure the team hits participation targets for our Thrive centres. Work with the team to develop an effective relationship management structure for serving partnership relationships. Analyse and investigate audience, product, price, demand and competition. Leverage promotional opportunities through existing partnerships and look for new opportunities. Identify new opportunities for growth within existing Thrive Centre s, in conjunction with Divisional General Managers. Ensure appropriate and rapid response to planned and opportunistic business development activities. Commit to pursuing cost effective outcomes and efficiency across all business development operations. Stakeholder Engagement & Management A track record in successful relationship development and management and marketing and communications. Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work in a high performance environment, managing multiple tasks with strict budgets and conflicting deadlines. Product management experience. Team management experience and strong team work skills. Well-developed oral, written and interpersonal skills. Creativity. Target driven. Strong customer service skills. Experience setting, pitching and tracking budgets end-to-end. Work with other leaders in our team to ensure we are delivering a seamless user experience throughout a client s journey. Be a customer advocate, championing client needs and championing insights throughout the business. Collaborative and able to drive multiple & varied stakeholders to a solution within required timeframes. Pro-active with a capacity to pinpoint what our clients want before they can. Professional Development Undertake relevant training and professional development, including regular supervision appropriate to the primary work of the service and Mind Australia. Participate in the annual Performance Review, Planning and Development process. Actively pursue professional development relevant to the role and the philosophy of Mind. Undertake core Mind training and other training opportunities which are relevant to the role. Accountability Proactively comply with direction from the Executive Director Business Development and other managers within Mind. Use all Mind resources in line with organisational policy. Proactively support Mind s vision of supporting people facing mental health challenges to live well and be socially included, in accordance with the Mind values of: Customer Focus; Making a difference; Integrity; Hope; Creativity and Innovation. Other Duties Documents all activities using Mind s ICT systems and processes. Actively participate, contributing to your team and wider organisational initiatives. Contribute actively to the maintenance of a safe workplace. Ensure all safety issues are reported and addressed as they arise. Take personal responsibility for the quality and safety of work undertaken. As delegated by the Executive Director Business Development.

4 Reports directly to the Executive Director Business Development Core Requirements Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or related discipline or evidence of professional development combined with 5+ years of experience. Evidence of training and/or qualifications in area of speciality. Proven record in business relationship management. Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills and ability to engage and negotiate across a wide stakeholder group. Understanding of the Community Services, Not for Profit, Private Health and Government Sectors. Highly developed organisational and time management skills. Team player who is energetic, positive, friendly and has a flexible approach. Willingness for intra and interstate travel. Current valid Driver s Licence. Current National Police Record Check. Current Working With Children Check (Employee). 5 This position is full time fixed term working 38 hours per week until 30 June Working days will generally be Monday to Friday worked between the hours of between the hours of 8am to 6pm as required. Please note that the work pattern may be subject to change to meet the needs of the service. You are able to salary package a tax free amount, which is currently up to $15,900 per FBT year, plus other items including meal and entertainment and accommodation. The amount available for salary packaging will be subject to Commonwealth legislation as it applies from time to time and on the basis that Mind will not incur any liabilities for FBT. Mind offers salary packaging through an outsourced provider (currently RACV Salary Solutions). Employer superannuation contribution will be paid according to the legislative requirement. Appointment is subject to a six month probationary period of employment.
