Rates: $35 for first 30 words, plus 60 cents for each additional word, plus GST. Send copy six weeks before issue date (see page 3 for advertising and mailing deadlines). Set-up Charges For display ads that are not camera-ready, the following may apply: Add 15% to display ad rate for set-up. Special Position Add 5% Contact Advertising Coordinator for more details regarding special position options. Payment Billing by invoice after publication. The ELCIC and its institutions receive a 15% discount on display ads only (this excludes business card and classified ads). Terms 30 days; 2% interest charged monthly on overdue accounts. Make cheques payable to Canada Lutheran. Canadian advertisers please add applicable GST, PST, and/or HST. There is no extra charge to have a full page ad with a bleed (however, please advise the Advertising Coordinator if the full-page ad will have a bleed). * Availability of advertising on the cover pages (i.e. IFC, IBC, OBC) and inserts are negotiated with the Advertising Coordinator. ** Certain restrictions apply. 5 TEchnical Specifications Sending artwork Display Ads - Camera-Ready Canada Lutheran is an x 10.5 saddle stitched, full colour publication, created in InDesign on a Mac platform. The preferred file type for display ads is a high-resolution press-ready PDF file. Other supported file types are tif, jpg, eps, psd, ai. Supported programs are InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Digital image resolution should be a minimum of 300 dpi. Display Ads Set-up Requirements Digital images Please send digital images with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. We can accept jpg or tif file formats. We have options available to accept files that are too large to please contact the advertising coordinator for details. Logos Preferred file formats are eps, tif, jpg or pdf with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. (Please do not send logos pulled directly off a website, as they are lower-resolution files for the web and will not print clearly.) Classified Ads Text for classified advertising may be sent by , mail, fax, or phone. Liability: Advertisers and/or advertising agency assume full responsibility for all content of advertising (including text, representation and illustrations) and any claim made against the publisher because of content. The word advertisement may be placed above copy which in the opinion of the publisher resembles editorial material. 2. The publisher is not bound by any conditions, printed or otherwise, appearing on contracts or copy instructions, when such are in conflict with the terms of this rate card. Verbal agreements are not recognized. 3. The advertising of tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, carbonated drinks if advertised as mixers, and that which promotes any form of gambling will not be accepted; nor will advertising which conflicts with the interests or policies of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. All advertising is subject to approval. In the event of cancellation or rejection by the publisher where the advertising had previously been accepted and/or published, the advertising already run shall be billed and paid for at the rate provided for in the order. 4. Contracts for cover and special positions are non-cancellable. 5. Note: all prices are listed as NET. Advertising agencies should adjust for their 15% agency commission. The ELCIC and its institutions receive a 15% discount. (These discounts are not cumulative.) 6. An additional charge of 15% will be levied for display ads which are not camera-ready. 7. Regular advertisers are eligible for multiple times rates even if they use differently sized ads from issue to issue. 8.
