10 Local Authority and Education From Educational Buildings to Emergency Housing Schools, Universities and Nurseries Modular construction in the education sector has been popular for many years as building works typically take place during holidays causing minimal disruption. Losberger have successfully installed hundreds of buildings ranging from single classroom pods and extensions to complete schools and nurseries. Incorporating state of the art building materials in our designs ensures we deliver energy efficient, comfortable, soundproofed and low maintenance facilities providing the very best learning environment for the students. Student Accommodation Modular construction is ideally suited to student accommodation; it provides a cost effective and time efficient solution enabling the development to open in time for the start of a new term. Off-site construction reduces on-site snagging that usually delays sensitive deadlines appealing to contractors and developers alike. Emergency Housing Traditionally tents have been used to house people in emergency situations however the deployment of modular buildings is becoming a more common long term and cost effective solution. Losberger have been able to respond at very short notice to help house several thousand asylum seekers arriving in Germany from Syria & Afghanistan in clean, secure and comfortable accommodation blocks with family rooms, kitchens and sanitary facilities. 10

11 Commercial & Offices Office Buildings, Extensions, Single or Multi-storey Commercial buildings and extensions Modular building is ideal for creating entirely new office space, or simply extending existing facilities. A modular building is faster to build and more accurate than traditional construction, giving you a quicker return on investment. Should relocation be required our prefab portable buildings can be disassembled, transported and reconnected at your new site, retaining the building s value. Reduction in skilled labour costs Pre-fabricated buildings are almost completely internally fitted off site meaning the majority of skilled trade work takes place at the factory, speeding up many processes and reducing costs. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing elements are built within modular buildings, as such can be treated similar to an appliance; built off site, delivered and after a couple of connections your portable building is ready to go.
