SHRI DUSHYANT CHAUTALA: SHRI SUSHIL KUMAR SINGH: LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 7 TO BE ANSWERED ON.7.26 PROMOTION OF MSME Wi te Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be peased to state: (a) weter te Government is impementing any programme /as taken initiatives for promotion of Micro, Sma and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in te country to create entrepreneurs in rura as we as urban areas by providing sustained sef-empoyment opportunities; (b) if so, te detais tereof incuding te funds aocated tereunder and te number of beneficiaries terefrom during eac of te ast tree years and te current year, State/UTwise; (c) weter te Government proposes to raise te investment imit for MSMEs in te country; (d) if so, te detais tereof incuding te fund aocation made by te Government in tis regard during te ast tree years and te current year, State/UT-wise; and (e) te oter steps taken/being taken by te Government for upgradation and deveopment of MSMEs in te country? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SHRI GIRIRAJ SINGH) (a)&(b): Yes Madam. Ministry is impementing Prime Minister s Empoyment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Maia Coir Yojana (MCY), Coir Udyami Yojana (CUY), and Sceme for te Deveopment of Production Infrastructure, for encouraging entrepreneurs to set up units and tereby providing sustained sef- empoyment opportunities in rura as we as urban areas. Ministry is aso impementing Performance and Credit Rating Sceme (PCRS), Marketing Assistance Sceme (MAS), Internationa Cooperation Sceme (ICS), Assistance to Training Institutes (ATI), Credit Guarantee Sceme, Credit Linked Capita Subsidy Sceme (CLCSS), Nationa Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme, Custer Deveopment Programme, Market Deveopment Assistance, Ski Deveopment Programme, etc. for promotion of MSMEs. For impementing various scemes for te deveopment of MSMEs, Government as aocated Rs.2,977. crore, Rs.,27. crore and Rs.2,62. crore for 2- (BE), 2- (BE), 2-6 (BE) respectivey. Pan Outay aocated for te year 26-7 (BE) is Rs.,. crore. Te detais of funds aocated and te number of beneficiaries tere from benefitted under PMEGP, MCY, CUY and Deveopment of Production Infrastructure during ast tree years and current year, State/UT wise are paced at Annexure-I & II respectivey.

Various ski deveopment programmes ave aso been started by te Government, incuding te coverage of women. Te Government as aunced MUDRA Yojana in wic credit is made avaiabe for starting enterprises. Te Government of India as aso announced Stand Up India in wic every bank branc (tota.2 ak brances) wi assist entrepreneurs in setting up new enterprises. * * *
