1 UNIT OVERVIEW Description of the Unit In this unit, you will learn how to execute the project plan, and upon completion, close out the project. You will learn how to develop a role-responsibility matrix, monitor and control project execution, communicate with stakeholders, reassess risk, and analyze the results of the effort. Unit Objectives At the conclusion of this unit, you will be able to: Develop a role-responsibility matrix and use it to ensure that everyone does their part during project execution Work with project staff and stakeholders to execute the project plan, making adjustments and addressing problems as required Monitor project expenditures, schedules, and assure the quality of deliverables as outlined in the plan Execute a communication plan Reassess risk as the project moves toward completion Close out the project upon completion Unit Topics The role-responsibility matrix Reporting, recordkeeping, and managing project resources Change management, scope creep, and issue management Communication with stakeholders Reassessing risk Closeout Managing Technology Projects and Technology Resources Participant Guide 8-1
