What's New in SelectPay 2017r2 The following features have been added or updated in this release. For further details please refer to the Release Notes and training videos available for each feature. Pay Element Effective Dates This feature enables SelectPay to hold a set of Effective Dates and Rates per Pay Element, allowing several pay rate changes within a period, and calculating the correct period pay including all rate changes stored for that period. Each Pay Element will store a number of Effective Dates and Rates, which the pay run calculations will use to ensure the pay for the period is correct. This also allows SelectHR to send across several pay changes per period. Auto Enrolment Pension Updates This feature updates the current offering, ensuring SelectPay is up to date with current legislation and making it easier for users to run the required processes. This includes adding a Director option to the Auto Enrolment exclusion reasons. Another feature that has been added is the ability to automatically postpone new starters for 1, 2 or 3 months from the Auto Enrolment process. This alleviates Auto Enrolment duties for customers with casual workers who may join and leave within a short period of time. Page 3 of 7

Employee Posts and Post Pay Elements Employee Posts, and Post Pay Elements brings a new level of functionality and analysis to the payroll. This functionality enables Pay Elements to be linked to Employee Posts. In assigning posts to an employee s pay elements, their pay can be allocated across different posts and adds a level analysis for nominal ledger journals. Enhancements to the Pending Changes Screen This feature is an enhancement to the Pending Changes screen to help identify which groups of data are due to be reviewed for each employee. The Group column displays the different types of data that are ready to be reviewed for each employee and allows you to set a custom filter to search for a specific group. Page 4 of 7

HMRC Communications Analyser The HMRC Communications Analyser provides a way to view the data that has been submitted to HMRC, in order to reconcile submissions with the payroll data. This utility enables you to select a submission and view the data in an Excel, CSV or text file. Nominal Enhancements Enhancements to the nominal functionality include employee posts which expand the ability to create complex nominals and to analyse data at a more functional level. An Employee Post level has been added to the nominal setup and a separate code is available for Employment Allowance Page 5 of 7

Improve Net to Gross Calculations The Net to gross utility now includes student loans in the calculations to ensure the payments are correct when student loans are being paid. Net to Gross Pay Elements This feature allows you to set a Pay Element as Net to Gross, which indicates that the value of the pay element is a Net value, and will then be used to calculate the Gross value when processing the pay, to allow for Tax and NI deductions. Expand Leavers Wizard to include a search for Due to Leave dates in the current period This feature is an expansion to the Leavers Wizard to pick up anyone who has a due to leave date and process them through the wizard. It is useful for anyone integrated with SelectHR and anyone using the Due to Leave Date functionality, as it reduces duplication of entry. Page 6 of 7

Worker Flag A small change has been made to the Employee record, where a warning message will appear if you untick the Worker flag. This ensures that users do not un-tick the worker flag by accident, as it will exclude the employee from any RTI submissions to HMRC and from the Auto Enrolment process. AOI to show current period data and analyse on essential data This is an enhancement of the current AOI integration, adding the ability to report on current period data and also enhancing current AOI views to include department Code and Name. This will allow greater analysis on existing data integration and will also allow a better visual of current period data Please note that this functionality will not be available until the relevant AOI version is released. HMRC Transaction Engine Service It may be beneficial to be aware that HMRC are changing the way submissions are sent and received, and have updated their domain name of the URL for the Transaction Engine end point. This has been updated within SelectPay 2017r2 to ensure that submissions are sent to HMRC as normal. Current Domain name Available until New Domain Available from secure.gateway.gov.uk 14 th February th October 2017 Page 7 of 7
